Isn't that what I said? That the person trading TY will be able to use TY this week since the trade will go into effect next week?

I should probably just step in and make the change tonight. Their intentions were to make this trade for this week. The guy who is playing the guy who is GETTING TY is the one who is making a big deal out of this lol

And if everyone else in the league, with the exception of him and the one other, is OK with processing immediately, I say do it. Bitching because the guy you're playing made a trade isn't a good enough reason to not to go through with it now, ya know?

Okay so help me with clarification on this language...here's what Yahoo says..

"This trade will be processed on Friday, Oct 9 for Week 5. If the traded players have already played in week 5 and were in a starting lineup, then the trade will be processed for week 6 instead. If you've set your lineup for future dates, those changes will be reset to match your lineup for the day players are added."

Doesn't that make it seem like if the guy with TY Hilton benches TY Hilton, the trade would be processed on Friday? Which would fuck over the guy receiving TY Hilton?

Similar situation in my 2 leagues with 2 different outcomes. One league I traded D. Thomas and he was playing the Thursday game. Trade processed on Saturday, I got to use the new player Sunday and they lost out on DT's points Thursday.

Other situation the Commish just pushed the trade through and didn't even give the league a chance to veto.

In the 2 more competitive leagues I'm in, we used to have a league wide veto process that took 2 days. We decided to scrap that and give the power to the commish to process all trades immediately for situations like this. If it is a questionable deal, the commish will ask a select # of owners. I can't remember the last time we have had a deal vetoed.

I wish we would do that but my league doesn't want the commish (me) to have that many powers. Fucking annoying lol

The player getting TY in this deal is getting fucked. The player sending TY is just going to bench TY tonight and he'll get his two players in the trade tomorrow (the trade was randle and hankerson for TY and D Mac). So the guy getting TY won't have TY tonight and his two players he's trading this weekend. That sucks.

It doesn't matter if TY is in the lineup or not. If he has already played, he is locked (either at his starting spot or bench) and won't change rosters until Tuesday of week 6. Nobody is getting screwed.

So unless you're going to push the trade through, the guy with T.Y. NOW should play him in his lineup...at least I would.

You're 100% on this? The way I read that note above makes me think if he benches TY it will go through on Friday.

I guess we'll have to see what Yahoo does. Why don't you just approve it? Just from the back and forth on this thread I'd be frustrated as hell if I was either of the trading teams! Regardless, the guy giving up T.Y. should play him if he wants...because even if it's how you posted, the team getting T.Y. can't use him regardless.

If you make the trade today and ty locks up tonight, the trade gets pushed back to Tuesday I believe.

That's why we scrapped the process in my leagues and just gave a couple hour waiting period to see if anyone complained and then pushed it thru

You never know when someone will produce. You have to make guesses. If your options are Green or Garcon. You have to ask how many targets will each get. Green will still get 8-14 targets, even though he won't produce as many points with those targets as normal, he should still get them. Garcon will get how many targets? 6?
