Thought we should get a new thread going. I usually do 1-2 ESPN leagues/annually just for the heck of it. Did a draft for one tonight and it never fails: in a ten person league, someone took the Seahawks defense with the 45th overall pick. Someone else took kicker with the 76th pick.
I had 10th/11th picks so I went with DeMarco Murry and Gronk. Only thing I really dislike is I slept too long on a QB and had to go with Eli and Rivers. I actually used Rivers last season and was looking like an early MVP candidate. Hopefully he can get back on that path or Eli can find some success with OB Jr. and Cruz.

Had my first draft yesterday. 10-team standard league. Here's the squad I came away with:

QB: Brees
RB: Lynch, J Hill
WR: Hilton, K Benjamin, G Tate
TE: Kelce
DEF: BAL
K: Barth

BEN: Blount, D Martin, Taliaferro, M Ryan, M Floyd, K Wright, D Adams

Thoughts?

Overall solid.

I personally am not high on Brees this season, the others should produce well for you however.

We did our draft order this weekend and I got the 1st pick in my main league. Really didn't want it and tried to trade it but no one wanted to :(.

I have another draft tonight in a work colleague's league. They do the random draft an hour before it starts so will be interesting to see what pick I get. Hoping for somewhere from 6-10 its a 12 team league. I've dominated the regular season in the 2 years I've been in it but lost in the first round both years which sucks.

That's the worst. There's a league that I've been in for 7 years. I've never won it (which is just dumb), and I've taken third 4 times, each time losing to the eventual champion I believe. So irritating.

QB - E Manning (7th), Brady (9th)
RB - AP (1st), Morris (3rd), Forsett (4th), Woodhead (11th), Mckinnon (13th)
WR - J Nelson (2nd), B Cooks (5th), A Cooper (6th), R White (8th), D Adams (10th), E Royal (12th)
TE - Donnell (16th)
DEF - Pats (14th)
K - Bryant (15th)

Is there a website that shows where players are on average being drafted on any of the major draft sites?

We do our draft the Monday before the season starts to avoid drafting injured players. Doing drafts this early makes zero sense.

Pretty sure ESPN does an ADP rank but it might before insiders only. I'm not sure if Rotoworld is a pay site yet, but they might do it too.

Yeah I'm a Cowboys fan and I hated the Eli pick but I had to take a QB. 12 QBs were already taken before I picked my QB. I'll only have to start him for 5 weeks though so it's not too bad.

I think when it came time for my QB selection I could have went with Eli, Flacco, or Rivers. I took Eli initially but then ended up with Rivers as my last pick anyways.

I'm in 2 key leagues. I usually run our office league but I think I'm giving that up and just going to play Daily on Draft Kings instead.

The one league is an auction where you have $100 to buy 10 players with up to two keepers. There is a 6 round snake draft to finish it out where everybody gets their D's and Kickers and a couple bench players.

The other is a standard snake with 1 keeper; lose the draft spot where the guy was taken last year. Free agents can be kept for a 10th round pick. Only can keep a guy 1 season.

Both in person drafts. 1 is noon on Sunday. The other is 5:30. I'm going to be all kinds of wasted by the time the auction starts at 5.

Great draft. I like all your position groups and especially grabbing Brady/Eli since you should be able to trade one in the middle of the season if need be.

We should setup an OC Draft Kings league. Make it 5 or 10 per week. No commitment. If you want to play that week...great. If you are busy and forgot...no worries. Then we don't have to worry about a guy not setting his lineup and all of the BS that comes with playing in leagues with people you don't know and their team sucks.

I'm looking at getting into Draft Kings for the 1st time this season. I've heard some promos for it... something about signup and whatever you enter (say $100) Draft Kings will match that (so free $100?). Can anyone help me out here... Details? Promo code for this? etc.
