I can't blame you if the last couple picks happen to be rookies. I guess you never said who they were as it would be more worrisome if they were already predicted as starters. I've been in a few 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 FLEX leagues where teams end up looking like Luck, Gronk, Abdullah/Gurley, Cooper/Aghalor/3rd WR or some combo of that. You may have gotten decent value with the picks at the time, but it's almost guaranteed that half of those guys won't have the roles people are projecting.

Haha, in a way I kind of nailed your team in my prior post!

RB, I think you're fine. With no flex, you're essentially hoping that one of Abdullah/Gurley becomes a top 10-15 player. Very possible.

I think WR, you're going to be frustrated every damn week, to the point where you're searching the waiver wire for possible plays. You may end up playing guys like Montgomery and Parker, even as #3's, because they are on teams who could be passing for 2-3 TD's every week. Aghalor I'd probably throw into that pool too considering the Eagles offense, but he's also competing with a lot of different guys for reps. Hopefully he takes on a DeSean Jackson type role where he's never going to be a PPR monster, but is good for 6-8 TD's over the top.

I agree actually. It is impossible to know which of these will pan out. I just hate taking the guy where I know what his ceiling is. I won my league last year with rookies like Jeremy Hill carrying me late in the seasons (that I drafted) and I fell in love with the "high cealing" logic. Luckily, I take this particular league really serious so I will be a waiver wire king in hopes of making the playoffs.

Rate my draft. Destroy it if need be. #6 spot in snake style draft. 14 Team PPR League. In Parenthesis is the player taken before my pick and then the player taken right after mine.

Not thrilled with taken Murray in the 2nd round or Colston as my WR3. I really think Lockett will do well for the Seahawks as the season evolves.

For a 14 team, I actually really like your team. I think Colston as your #3 is good. I think he will have a better year than a lot of people are projecting him to (75/1100/10) with Stills and Graham gone. I'm with you about Lockett love that pick in the last round. I think you got the better deal with Randle anyway. I don't think Landry will be terrible I'd just rather have my #2 RB there instead of #3 WR.

Opinions needed.

Already drafted. I didn't draft a defense and now I need to drop somebody to pick one up.

PPR league-

Should I drop Reggie Bush or Duke Johnson? Duke probably has higher upside but the Browns backfield is a mess. He also has a concussion. Reggie should be a decent PPR option...getting a lot of looks on 3rd downs.

My RBs are poor but I have Woodhead already who is kind of a Reggie Bush type already.

I can also just drop D'Angelo Williams now but I was planning on starting him for 2 weeks while Bell was suspended.

I'm not sure why this popular consensus hasn't really changed throughout the preseason. Hyde has been getting catches and targets and been in on third down. He's a 3 down back; Bush will probably be a change of pace back and maybe go out wide a couple times, but I don't see him as a Shane Vereen in-on-every-3rd-down type back.

I don't put much stock in preseason workloads and snap counts. Hyde has never been a great pass catcher. The opportunity for Hyde to be a 3 back is there but I don't think it is guaranteed at all. Reggie Bush is too talented of a pass catcher not to factor into the weekly game plan in some way. Plus, there is a chance that the 49ers are horrible and trailing late in most games.

I'm honestly thinking about dropping Williams and starting Woodhead and taking a wait and see approach on Bush/Johnson.

It's not guaranteed, but I don't see it being a Patriots or Chargers (last couple of years) situation where Vereen or Woodhead (in this case Bush) comes in every third down. I definitely agree the 49ers will use Bush, but they can also find ways to split him out wide like Woodhead does.

I agree...Woodhead/Vereen would come in on every 3rd down...no matter what. I see Bush only checking in on 3rd down if it is 3rd and long. 3rd and 5 or less...they should leave Hyde in to give the threat of the run.

It's tough because neither are a real good option right now but trying to guess which one might pan out into a viable option down the road is like flipping a coin. I was hoping Duke would put a stranglehold on the job Saturday but he took 1 carry and got concussed after missing most of the preseason. It's a disaster in Cleveland fantasy-wise at RB.

In that case, I would go with Johnson. Don't concern yourself with what's going to happen weeks 1-5 but take the guy with the higher ceiling for weeks 9-16. That's normally what I do to decide in a coinflip.

Harrumph! I like it. My RBs in this league are horrible. I like Jon Stewart this year as the feature in Carolina but after that I have Blount and Woodhead. Between the 3 of them, I am hoping to be able to start 2 per week. My WRs are stacked so all my flex plays will be WRs. I'm just hoping to get 25-30 per week out of my RB position. As mentioned, I have D'Angelo penciled in to start week 1 and 2 while Bell is out so after week 2 I am free to drop his ass.

The only thing I would caution against, and as someone who does it at least once a year I can attest to its danger, is not being patient enough with a guy you need to be patient with. I'm really trying to change that this year.

For me last year it was Kelce and Mike Evans. Knew they would both eventually be valuable but dropped them too soon.

gport... I don't think I've ever liked a team you've posted on here lol. Why Tannehill in the 2nd? I mean I don't even know if I'd take him in the 2nd in a 2QB 16 team league. I don't really like your trade but I'm sure you did when you saw Jackson was still there and got good value on him. I know you're a big skins fan too.

I've never played in a 14 team league so it's hard for me gauge. That doesn't look like the best team on paper. Tannehill in the 2nd seems early, I think I would have gone a 1st RB or WR there and taken my chances with a lower tier QB later. I like Palmer late. You might have been able to sneak Bridgewater later. Seems like QBs went early.

A little background on my league.

12 Man Snake
Full PPR
5 Bonus points for Over 300 Passing, additional 5 over 400, and 500
5 Bonus Points for over 100 Rushing, additional 5 over 200, and 300
5 Bonus points for over 100 Receiving, Additional 5 over 200 and 300
Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, Te, K, D WRT Flex
Normal ESPN scoring after that, So picks are all over the place. And we draft a Team QB. Also, before the final 2 rounds you have to fill out your roster which is 2 QB's, 1 D, 1 K, 4 RB, 5 WR.

Had first pick.

Not high on Rashad Jennings as I think Andre Williams will eventually be the starter and he's getting drafted in most leagues (if he's undrafted, consider picking him up) nor high on Josh Hill as a backup TE but I get the rationale.

Other than that I like the picks you made

Thats the downfall of being either First/Last picks, I Was at the tail end of both RB, and TE Runs lol. I agree with you on Jennings, and he won't be catching many if any passes due to Vereen. I've been keeping an eye on Williams recently, because he's available, and I figured he would be.

Had my big draft this past weekend. Standard 12-team league with IDP's (1 pt per solo/half pt per ast), 6 points for passing TD's. I will list the (before my pick/after my pick) players. We use the original draft style for NFL.com from back in the day, and here's how my draft went down:

Round 1 (7): A Rodgers (Lynch/Luck)... planned on RB. However, AP, Bell, Charles, Lacy, Murray, and Lynch went top 6, so I just took Rodgers.
Round 2 (2): J Hill (Gronk/CJ Anderson)
Round 3 (9): Hopkins (L Murray/Cooper)
Round 4 (4): Ingram (Brees/D Adams)
Round 5 (11): K Allen (Tate/Watkins)
Round 6 (6): L David (Edelman... he was who I wanted/Yeldon)
Round 7 (1): N Bowman (R White/Blount)
Round 8 (8): S Lee (J Brown/Funchess)
Round 9 (3): Ch. Johnson (J Jenkins/BUF D)
Round 10 (10): Spiller (Kendricks/T Coleman)... Thought this was the steal of the draft. Couldn't believe he fell to pick 118.
Round 11 (5): Garcon (Bridgewater/D Davis)
Round 12 (12): Ertz (Montgomery/Dansby)
Round 13 (7): Vereen (T Williams/B Marshall IDP)
Round 14 (2): C Matthews (New England... was my target/R Rodgers)
