Have been since I was 8. Loved watching Largent when I was little he was my favorite player in the NFL growing up...SportsAndLady;1575686 wrote:Lol there's probably a lot of you right now.

Agree!!!!! I am tired of this debate. Manning didn't lose that game yesterday, the offensive line did. They were completely dominated.I think players should get credit for what they accomplished and Manning has accomplished more in football than 99% of all players.friendfromlowry;1575658 wrote:Either way, the Manning legacy debate is dumb. Literally arguing over whether he's really, really great. Or just really great.
Its the Super Bowl, hell yeah ya watch the whole thing!!!!Fly4Fun;1575666 wrote:So who all watched the whole game or stopped after a certain point? I stopped watching after the 2nd half KO return for a TD. At that point the game was over and it wasn't very compelling/competitive.
I know it's the last game of the football season... but it just wasn't very entertaining.
I liked the Seahawks when they were in the AFC West.....Largent and Curt Warner.rrfan;1575689 wrote:Have been since I was 8. Loved watching Largent when I was little he was my favorite player in the NFL growing up...
That served its purpose though. CC's down to having negative reps now. Awesome!friendfromlowry;1575639 wrote:Lol, a thread dominated by Tiernan and ccrunner. Glad I didn't bother checking into it during the game.
Its harder to keep an elite defense together though IMO. 2000 Ravens, 85 Bears, 04 Bucs, 07 NY Giants... they were good after said run, but nothing near the elite level they were in that yr. Offenses can keep churning consistently.Automatik;1575797 wrote:Killer defense and win the TO margin regularly.
Top D > Top O all day
I can agree with this, but as far as my post goes, I am not saying you need an all time great defense to win. Ravens D was solid enough last year, so was the Giants D 2 years ago. Was the 07 giants even a top 5 defense that season? They did have a hell of a pass rush.Commander of Awesome;1575801 wrote:Its harder to keep an elite defense together though IMO. 2000 Ravens, 85 Bears, 04 Bucs, 07 NY Giants... they were good after said run, but nothing near the elite level they were in that yr. Don't confuse "non-elite QB" with "incompetent QB" though.
Yeah but those teams you mentioned didn't have the offense or QB Seattle doeslike_that;1575806 wrote:I can agree with this, but as far as my post goes, I am not saying you need an all time great defense to win. Idk what to make of their schedule honestly. Seems pretty damn easy going off this year, and if they get the right QB and maybe a few other weapons who knows. Plus being in the AFC helps, but we'll seeTiernan;1575824 wrote:Only one prognosticator on here picked the romp correctly and we all know who that was. 6 - 10 and last place in the division again.
Manziel, if he can stay out of The Flats, will be a homerun for the browns.Tiernan;1575885 wrote:Hope the "right QB" is Johnny Fuckup so I can do the "told ya so" dance I do so well.
The Giants defense was garbage in 2011 until the playoffs started. Close to bottom 5 in points and yardage.like_that;1575806 wrote:I can agree with this, but as far as my post goes, I am not saying you need an all time great defense to win. 2006 Indy was a top 5 offense and beat Chicago who was a top 5 defenseAutomatik;1575797 wrote:Killer defense and win the TO margin regularly.

Sorta like in hoops what they say about teams who rely on the 3....live by the 3, and die by the 3.Automatik;1576213 wrote:That was more to express my personal preference....I'm a defense guy. It's been proven that you can ride a dominant D with a serviceable offense to the SB.
An interesting stat I heard after the game.... the season passing leader has never won the SB.
