Agree!!!!! I am tired of this debate. Manning didn't lose that game yesterday, the offensive line did. They were completely dominated.I think players should get credit for what they accomplished and Manning has accomplished more in football than 99% of all players.

I know it's the last game of the football season... but it just wasn't very entertaining.
Its the Super Bowl, hell yeah ya watch the whole thing!!!!

I thought that the broncos may have had a chance until seattle got into the 30's. Even thought the KO return for a TD it would still be OK as it only took 12 seconds and they had the whole half.

Goes to show...if you have a defense who can get into the face of the QB< no matter how great, you give yourself a great chance at winning the game. The times that PM did get some time, he drove them.

I was hoping PM would win. I think this had more to do with Seattle defense than PM not playing great

That served its purpose though. CC's down to having negative reps now. Awesome!

I am just going to say it. The last 3 SBs have proven you don't need an ELITE qb to win it all.

Don't confuse "non-elite QB" with "incompetent QB" though.

Its harder to keep an elite defense together though IMO. 2000 Ravens, 85 Bears, 04 Bucs, 07 NY Giants... they were good after said run, but nothing near the elite level they were in that yr. Offenses can keep churning consistently.

I can agree with this, but as far as my post goes, I am not saying you need an all time great defense to win. Ravens D was solid enough last year, so was the Giants D 2 years ago. Was the 07 giants even a top 5 defense that season? They did have a hell of a pass rush.

Only one prognosticator on here picked the romp correctly and we all know who that was. With that same in-depth sooth-sayer analysis I'm calling the 2014 Cleveburgh Clowns record right here and now...mark it down like_that, S&L, COA and the rest of the Clownie's Mafia...

6 - 10 and last place in the division again.

Yeah but those teams you mentioned didn't have the offense or QB Seattle does

Idk what to make of their schedule honestly. Seems pretty damn easy going off this year, and if they get the right QB and maybe a few other weapons who knows. Plus being in the AFC helps, but we'll see

Manziel, if he can stay out of The Flats, will be a homerun for the browns.

The Giants defense was garbage in 2011 until the playoffs started. Close to bottom 5 in points and yardage.

2006 Indy was a top 5 offense and beat Chicago who was a top 5 defense
2010 Gb was 9th on offense and beat Pittsburgh was #2 defensive.

Its all about balance. Because both Indy and GB had very good defenses those years.

That was more to express my personal preference....I'm a defense guy. It's been proven that you can ride a dominant D with a serviceable offense to the SB.

An interesting stat I heard after the game.... the season passing leader has never won the SB.

Sorta like in hoops what they say about teams who rely on the 3....live by the 3, and die by the 3.

It all comes down to what is more easily to replicate play after play after play after play, and game after game. ALot more variable, alot more things have to go right, when you rely on passing the ball than relying on a strong defense. Did the extra week of prep help the defense in watching tape and tendancies? Running attacks are more like, this is what we are doing, stop it. Passing by nature is more finesse and timing and if one part of it gets derailed it can be tough and that is what happened to that passing attack...again.
