Its nice to be reading about city kids qualifying fordistricts and having great shots making it out of districts and on to the BIGSHOW! Hay TJ thanks for the non love on one of my boys we like this under theradar stuff going on and nobody is even thinking about him Sweet.

Lets hope the Big Guy doesn't keep us there too latetonight. I see this being a veryinteresting meeting so I'll put this out there. Hay Lowleg you might remember this: I don't see any one team that canoutright win the championship without the help from a few other teams indifferent weight classes. I'm not sayingthis because that were I came from but don't count out MF there's a richhistory and tradition that started back in the late 70's and its still goingstrong today. They really know how tostep their game up this time of the year and I notice that they have some nicenumbers for tomorrow.

With that being said I'll see some of you guys tonight andeveryone else tomorrow. Yes I still havelove for the program and its nice to see some other schools stepping their gameup and starting to build their own history and tradition. Wishing everyone the very best.

With all due respect, and I mean that because I got love for you and the Bruins, I think TJ's comment is spot on, and it has nothing to do with your kid's ability, because IMO he does have the ability to make it deep into districts, and if he catches fire even to State, but the lack of mat time this season will probably bite him when it counts.

I would think DI 220 would be awfully tough for any of the city leaguers. Have any of them beat Mowery, Lacey, or Struttman this year, or even wrestled any of them closely?

Stockton (W) lost a close one to one of them. OT - which is actually SV now, if I recall correctly.

Stockton will get into districts, even if it is at 4th, but for exactly this reason I don't think Juty makes it. Jalen from Mifflin should make it out at D2. Solomon from South just came back from injury and was a District Alternate last year, however the time off may end up hurting him as I think it may hurt Juty.

What sectional are all these guys at again?

Williams is tough and Northridge has an excellent program, but he moved before the whistle on top and Mills relaxed thinking it would be a caution call. Ref didn't call it and Williams got an easy reversal to go up 4-2; Mills got out to go 4-3, but had little time left and tried a desperation shot and Williams sprawled and got behind for a TD. 6-3 loss that taught Mills to go hard (I tell kids all the time to make the ref touch you...never let up or relax!). Alec won't make that mistake again!! ;)

Making it to state is extremely tough, in any division, but I think the city has a lot of talent that can get to districts. Alexander will make it to state and Mills should too; Stockton and Hannibal Tate have an outside shot. Beyond that, I would be pleasantly surprised if anyone else did. Good luck to ALL the city wrestlers tomorrow and through the next few weeks!

Stockton lost to Struttman in OT. He hasn't wrestled Mowery or Lacey, but I think he's right there with Struttman, and anyone else you offer up as the 4th best guy at Darby. We'll see. Having them all at Marysville helps his chances of getting out the following week.

Early reports from the city championship befor the semi's

Mifflin
West
Whetstone
Marion Franklin
South

And in other news Coach Chuck cost Walnut Ridge a team point for disputing a call by walking out onto the mat between periods and breaking down into the Gungum Style dance. . . . . . true story.

Also, Coach Nicola's bleached blonde hair can be seen from space.

Lastly, Coach Catheline, despite warnings from officials, keeps dropping down and doing the worm and the robot when his wrestlers are on the mat.

The Punchers thank you! Mifflin came together and wrestled their butts off!! Congrats to West for battling tough as well. Whetstone did an excellent job and was right in the mix also. Good luck to all the city kids heading to sectionals and beyond in the next few weeks!!

Crazy to see Robinson winning the title at 220! I remember watching this kid wrestle my little brother in elementary school at OAC for 5th! Wild to think they ended up so far apart in weightclass when they got to high school!

Congrats to Mifflin. Good run. Dominating performances by Mills and Tate. The little Tate looked good as well. Robinson pulled in a big time match. That was a great match, actually the match that won the tourney for Mifflin. Exciting match! Nice job to West and Centennial as well rounding out the top 3.
Congrats to Chasden Wright, Branden Clark, Charles Parkham, James Mosely, Brandon New, Jhulius Monroe, Deante Gray, and To city Champ David Wellborn. There is a lot of work to be done to get back to where we were..
As always, it was great to see the likes of all the city coaches and hang out with them. I miss the camaraderie, good luck in the post season!
