I just stopped my subscription to Sirius XM so my morning drive will likely consist of a local classic rock station. I refuse to listen to Kiley & Booms but will listen to the afternoon drive on my way home.

Listen to Rizzo about anything drives me nuts. Cleveland radio is simply the worst. Embarrassing how bad it is as a Cleveland native.

Worst thing anyone ever did was give him a radio gig. When he was nothing more than a sports anchor on channel 8 back in the 90s he wasn't nearly as bad... If anything the fact that he was a little high strung livened it up some. Then some dumbfuck decided he needed a forum to voice his opinions and not just report, and here we are

I look for them to fill in some of the roster with the remaining free agent bargains in the coming weeks.

Our draft was weak because we actually..wait for it..addressed needs in FREE AGENCY. We didn't have to reach for a lot of picks because, for the most part, we filled a couple glaring needs in our line/defensive change. Really the only thing they left untouched was our safety/cb help IMO. That 3rd rounder could become our starter next to haden, but until that happens I hope they add a veteran CB. It's shocking that so many of you guys don't like this draft/offseason when for years you've been clamoring to fill needs in free agency so that we don't have to fill our entire team with draft picks. They finally do that, and you bash the draft for being "boring".

The best part of that HoF thread was how we were all retarded and knew nothing when we explained to him how the Browns were eliminated already.

IMO we didn't take that deal because we didn't think Mingo would be there at 16. Okay by me

You know what he meant. People bitching about trading picks to move up in next year's draft, when we filled those gaps with FA's instead of wasting draft picks.

Selecting players in the draft is now wasting draft picks?

+1

"This is why we are the browns and suck. Trading away our 5th round pick!" SMH

I would have done the deal, but if they believe Mingo is their guy/difference maker than I agree. If Jordan were there at 6, I certainty would have done the deal either.

Knew COA would try and nit pick that one. Obvious what I meant.

Wasn't nit picking I was asking. I hadn't read someone say they didn't like the draft bc they found it boring, but wouldn't be shocked if someone did. I don't have an issue with trading for future picks in a loaded draft, still wish we had selected Rambo over the ND guy though.

3/4 of our team is 26 or younger, like to see our young guys develop.

I agree with this. Going into the draft the needs, to me, were: CB, S, OG, FB and maybe WR. Well...they got a CB and a WR (Bess)...maybe even a safety. The front 7 was fine going into the draft. It was the secondary that needed help, which they addressed.

I think the front office's mindset was "we really DON'T have a lot of holes to fill" so they parlayed this years picks into next years, which may be a better draft.

And as I mentioned earlier, I still think they will get some bargain free agents to fill in the rest of the holes.

Not too mention if Weeden tanks(which I think he doesn't) we can use those stockpiled picks for this regimes QB.

If weeden tanks, we wont need to, as we'll be picking in the top of the draft. Usually how that works. Hope this helps.

Don't forget David Nelson. I like him. I think he'll be an important piece to this team.

I also liked how they are "fine" at dline yet still added valuable depth to the position. That's huge.

Weeden tanked this year and we were picking 6. Which, in most years, isn't a strong position to be drafting a top QB.

You are smarter than this COA, come on now. We still have enough talent defensively and a good enough back/line to squeek by most games even with Weeden's tank.

I dont agree with you. Weeden didn't tank. Browns got Shurmured. We're going to be a much more competitive team this year. I expect Weeden to look halfway decent this year, hell even top 16 QB.

I agree. One thing I expect to see a helluva lot less of this year is batted down passes. I think with the routes that will be run with this offense we should be less of that.
