And as far as the best QB, I'd tend to agree with what the professionals, who actually analyze this stuff, think.

Yeah that's your problem you listen to people who are regularly wrong..if you would have just made your own evaluations last year you would have been pissed about Weeden too.

You mean the professionals, who do this for a LIVING, versus internet wannabes? I think I'll stick with the people getting paid (scouts) to do it. I get the impression you feel that you have the qualifications to be an NFL GM or scout?

From what I saw of Weeden, I didn't have the issues you did...since you want my "evaluations." He has the tools necessary to do well in the position. I only question what's inside his head. But that's not for ME to determine. The Browns brass will have to figure that out.

Smith never ran in college.

Mobility doesn't necessarily mean "he runs the ball."

I know. That means he STILL is more mobile than Weeden. Weeden is a statue. :D

Exactly. He's not a QB that you're going to draft for a read option type offense but he can move when he needs to.

Also, I have definitely seen Geno run for some big gains.

Yeah, I thought you meant he was used in designed runs. He had a few gains last year on broken plays, maybe 200 yards all season.

I'm interested to see how he pans out. Everyone oooo'd and aaahh'd over his pro day. Just like they did for Sizzurp Russell.

My coworker said the Jets want him at 9 if he's there. For his sake I hope that doesn't happen.

I can't remember any recent QB ever having a bad pro day. They set those things up so even marginal QB's will look good. Not saying Smith is "marginal." I just don't want him.

The same professionals that said Leaf was better than Peyton, that Jamarcus was a can't miss prospect, and that Russell Wilson wouldn't do anything because he isn't tall?

What does your thick skull not comprehend about how stupid you sound? Those "professionals" make plenty of mistakes ALL THE TIME. im not saying im a professional but I certainly could see Weeden was not going to be very good..and guess what, I was right. You and the "professionals" were wrong BR.

Don't blow out your shoulder patting yourself on the back when Weeden's grade as a QB is "incomplete." Let's see how he does will a REAL offensive coordinator who will unleash him and let him "let it rip" instead of neutering him with the dink & dunk underneath crap.

He's garbage and he'll suck this year too.

It's almost as if our scouting department had never been to a football game.

New stuff from Adkins (OBR)...Browns will likely take a QB but expect it to be one of the Tyler's (Bray or Wilson) or Dysert.

Besides McCoy's cap hit part of the reason he was moved was because he wasn't seen as a "team player."

They like OG's (Warford-KY & Dallas Thomas-TN) but won't likely burn the pick on Warmack where they are currently positioned.

They love Tavon Austin & Keenan Allen but won't use #6 on one of them.

A name to watch at TE is Vance McDonald (Rice).

They really like Milliner but see 8 starting quality CB's in this draft.

They also like safeties Rambo (Georgia), Wilcox (Southern GA) & Swearinger (S. Carolina).

Think we'll all in agreement that Weeden is our best option this yr. We don't have anyone else. Jason Campbell isn't going to get us to the playoffs. Not a good QB that's going to come in here and Luck/RG3 us to the playoffs. I dont understand the continuing Weeden debate, we don't have another option. We're stuck. No sense in arguing about it, just a waste of time.

Cards are holding a private workout for barklay. 3 weeks out from the draft and my bold (and wishful) prediction is the browns trade down twice and are still picking in the top 15.

As has been mentioned, hope someone REALLY wants a LT and the Browns are in the sweet spot for a trade down.

Adkins also said if they can recoup a 2nd, they are willing to trade down a "handful" of slots but no more.

I like Philip Thomas more than any of the safeties listed there, although in fairness I know nothing about Wilcox.

I agree that there are a lot of good cb's. But we'd probably need a 2nd rounder to get any of them. Will probably be 6-7 off the board by our 3rd round pick.

I'd like to see Escobar or McDonald at TE.
