I find the analogy similar. He wants evidence that they don't work without providing any evidence that they do work(besides an anecdotal story). It's broken logic at best and fraud at worst and people eat that shit up.

I think you are more upset that I require an overwhelmingly amount of evidence to validate something. If the evidence is insufficient the claim is easily rejected. If the evidence is close, one can use logic and reason to determine the validity of the statement. In this case, I have seen zero evidence and cannot use logic or reason to extrapolate any evidence. Therefore, I reject this garbage medicine as garbage.

I would love to see someone really cite Hermione in a term paper or thesis. That would be great. The look on the teacher or professor's face would be classic.

While I would never cite HP in any paper, much less an academic paper, her logic is solid.

I know that the placebo effect is real, but is it a bad thing? If it actually makes someone think they are getting results, and are getting results, is it really that bad if it doesn't hurt your body? It's changing their mindset, and I think that is more important than anything.

It is if you are paying for it.

Good luck, hope you realize what you are doing. I'd be adding some lean protien by day three which would almost be a perfect diet.

Every ingredient in an organic banana chip comes from a fruit

If you want a cleanse, just eat six sliders from White Castle.

Hope this helps.

My wife and I are on day 3 of the fruit/veggie diet. Doing it for 5 days. Not too bad. Had some gut rot today. Probably doesn't help that I've still been pounding whiskey at night, since I'm on break, but I'm not very smart, and you all know that.

Switched to Whiskey. Less fattening, and cheaper, drink less quantity. I just can't wrap my head around spending that much money on beer. Now, when we go out, if there are microbrews on tap, I will always be getting those.
