Fun game. Best team all year won it. Imo, and I stated in 3 months ago, 2nd best team runner up. The playoffs delivered.

Nice win. Pretty much dominant until they let up on the gas later in the game. Some vindication for Ryan Day.

Knowles leaving for a lateral move to Penn State? Odd, unless he is getting paid way more.

I think Ryan Day must have ruffled his feathers. Because even if what you say is true, the logistics and timing of his departure was an intentional FU.

I was thinking the same thing but Chip Kelly became the highest paid OC in the NFL so I guess that would explain that.

While I can't verify the accuracy of it, I did read a report that said Knowles was miffed at times because Day would get involved in the defense in ways like saying something needed to be changed (probably after regular season Oregon). Made it sound like, as the DC, he wanted to be the head guy on defense and didn't like having the HC having veto power over his game plan.

I bet that's exactly the root of this. It's how it goes when you get guys like this - they're great at what they do, but their egos won't allow supervision. Comes with the territory I guess.

Well, he was great while he was here. Maybe Day will find another gem.
