If the idea of Watson even smelling the field next year comes up, the person mentioning should be fired immediately.

Well, if trading for him was Berry's idea, it is grounds for firing. If Berry keeps his job we know whose idea the trade was.

Good point. But the trade’s gotta a Jimmy smell to it to me; a Manzielian-type feel.

That's what meant when I said if Berry doesn't get fired that it's likely Haslam's f#ck up. But who knows, Haslam has been such a hair trigger that he could make his GM the fall guy for his mistake.

I knew what you meant. I just can’t imagine Berry - or anyone else in a position like that - coming up with something like this. May Dee Dee did it.
I’m feeling safe to go back into the water (i.e., attending my first Browns game of the season tomorrow). Damn me if I bring some sort of curse with me.

No, but I felt like that guy. An absolute train wreck. Final score is wwwaaayyy closer than the game was IMO.
Thank God for the Buckeyes.
Za'Darius Smith traded to the Lions for peanuts. More draft picks for Berry to botch.

Ha we basically just gave him to the Lions.
So Jed Wills has come out and said he didn't play against the Rats in a "business decision." This "I don't really like football but I love the money" POS needs to either retire or go play RT for another team because he doesn't have the athleticism to block top edge rushers. He did the team a favor with that move as he just Wally Pipp'd himself out of and Dawand Jones into the role.
The Browns secondary celebrating a pick when they are a bunch of losers, and then giving up a 70 yard td is too on point.
Have to say, even with the 0-16 and 1-15 seasons this is the worst/more disappointing season I can remember in my fanhood. With those bad teams, I pretty much expected them not to win but this year's team was loaded with talent (I think). I did expect them to take a step back and finish last in the division. I think I said 5-12 but even this is optimistic.
Yesterday, the offense showed that it was at lease trying to compete. The defense looked like it had been hanging out all week and made a "business decision" not to show up. Myles looks like he's already in preservation mode for next season.
Even the pregame guys, who were live from MGM Casino, were picking the Browns to win this one. Bad bet but not as bad as the dolt who picked the Steelers to beat Baltimore by 40 and showed the betting slip to the radio guys.
Only bright side is I won't have to watch the shit show on Thursday night as I expect Pittsburgh will score TD's, instead of FG's, in that one and should win convincingly.
Jimmy, please sell. It’s been a failed experiment for you. Go collect cars or horses or some other hobby.

Whoever was an actual "yes" on the Watson trade and contract needs to go, doesn't matter if its a trainer, tow boy, or the owner.
If Haslam was the "go get that guy" he needs to sell. If Berry and Stefanski did a hard sell on him, maybe they need to go.
Whoever, and I mean whoever, decided 3 1st round picks and $240MM guaranteed (or whatever the final was) for a guy who hadn't played in over a year...was a good football strategy...shouldn't be around the team anymore.
Agreed with all of the above. They’re a bunch of losers. Belichek wants to come back to coaching, bring him back and a new gm and fix this shit. I’m so tired of being so bad, forever. I was only vaguely aware of the Kosar era, born in 86, so all I know is this shittiness of 99 onward, with a bit of nostalgia before that. Ha still have an old Kosar jersey, but man can we ever be good for more than a year randomely?

Not with Jimmy and Dee Dee at the helm.
Think about this…
Imagine being a stupid enough businessman that you pick this fall - in light of the team’s performance and the effects of the Watson trade - to push a hard sell on a new 50% taxpayer funded dome. Goes to show inherited wealth is no indicator of common sense.
If they reboot, I could see them pivot to Vrabel as the head coach.
I like Stefanski. I dont want him fired. But 2-3-4 wins and he will not be retained.

I'd be more interested in moving on from Berry and Depo. Had to dump John Dorsey, who's doing well in Detroit, and did well in KC.

I like Stefanski too. I think he's a great coach. But he made not be the culture changer needed. Frankly it doesn't matter so long as Jimmy and Dee Dee pay the bills.
