Atlanta returned last night and was good as advertised. Kat Williams stole the episode.
I also started watching McMafia on AMC, which is pretty good so far. It is a good modern take on the mob.
My favorite show on the air right now is Counterpart. Sci-fi meets the traditional spy story. JK Simmons is awesome in it.
Started The Looming Tower on Hulu last night. I thought the first episode was really good.

Currently watching the Newsroom. It’s not bad but not what I expected from an Emmy nominated HBO show. Pretty mediocre IMO.

Yeah, I liked the concept of the Newsroom, but the whole it happens in the past thing completely destroys the story. If we already know how the news story ends, kinda hard to make it dramatic. If it was set in the present with "fake" breaking news, I think it would have been better. Plus, some of the storylines were just dumb.

First season was amazing, second season it was "ok". Stranger Things that is.
But that is because I am a huge "weird" physics fan and the first season really did well at diving into this, the second season did not.

Both are really better than I expected.
The Good Place season 1 is hilarious and good.
After season 1 it gets kind of weird, not as funny, but still "good".
There were things in season 1 that I actually laughed out loud, like the substitution words used for cursing, etc.

Travelers was good, I enjoyed it well.
I loved the Newsroom, but I also work in them a bunch. So, I appreciated them nailing the work portion. The stories were pretty dumb after S1.

Watched the first two episodes of Season 1 of Sneaky Pete last night on Prime. Enjoying it so far.
I can't remember if it's been brought up on this thread, but has anyone watched Peaky Blinders? It's another great one out there.
