What are some of the great places/locations/facilities/venues of Ohio that aren’t in the bigger cities?

I’ll list 3….

Hocking Hills…just an awesome place with people traveling from all over to hike and see all the great sights.

I’ll throw in a very cool super sleeper…the Rankin House in Ripley Ohio. Little town on the Ohio River about 45 min from Cincinnati and an old house on the hill was used to house slaves and get their path set to Canada. Everything inside is over the 1860’s and the guy that runs the place tells the details greatly. It’s super interesting.

SPIRE Institute in Geneva….what a facility for indoor events. Was there for the indoor state championships and it’s top notch. Was very impressed. About 35 minutes outside of Cleveland. Big 10 Indoor Championships are held there.

You a history guy? Ripley is an absolute hole but the Rankin House on the hill and the John Parker house are rich with history.

Sadly, I’d bet neither will be open in 10 years, just a guess

Black Hand Gorge is a great little State Nature Preserve in the tiny town I grew up in. Unfortunately it's closed for most of the year for some sort of renovation.
