How long ago did they allow teams from same conference to face before the regional final? Minnesota plays Mich St in round if 32 and Duke might see VT in sweet 16

56 seconds and ball in court with no pressure and up 4....don’t call a timeout! They hadn’t started to trap or foul on purpose...now with timeout they must get it in and Iowa St can foul or pressure sooner

I don’t recall any buzzer beaters in the first round this year.

Pretty sure that has never been a thing. Unless conferences weren’t allowed more than 7 teams in the tournament lol.

But it’s always just been first round. They try and avoid it through 2 rounds, but favor location over matchup. And obviously can’t adjust seeds too much to avoid it.

Columbus is such a great host for the games. Best arena, great area around NWA, just a great time.

Right, but that hasnt been possible for like 15 years. Or whenever the Big East put in 8 teams...and then the conferences became huge. Second round is brutal, but they wont alter seeds or location the way they used to just to avoid conference affiliation.

I thought Ohio State just getting into the tournament was a win for the program as far as experience goes, but last night's W over ISU was HUGE. It may be their only win of the tourney, but IMO, it can go a long way for the confidence of the kids coming back next season.
