Gymnast Injury

At end of CBS broadcast tonight Charles Barkley mentioned prayers for an Auburn gymnast that broke her leg.  Seemed odd so I had to look it up.  Apparently knees buckled trying to land a pass on her floor routine - dislocated both knees and tore cartilage as well.  I can’t bring myself to watch it.  Enjoy....

I saw a blurb on this somewhere.  I can't imagine how gruesome the injury had to be to warrant so much coverage talking about how gruesome it was.

Will not watch.

I'm not going to watch it either but I can't imagine how athletes such as herself or Paul George, Nurkic, Hayward etc. ever play again after messing up their legs so bad. I'd be scared shitless every time I left the floor. I guess with some of those guys they were freak accidents caused by other players or the basket, but remember Kevin Ware in that Louisville - Duke (elite eight?) game from 2013? He didn't land on anyone right? Just took a jumper and came down on and broke his leg in half.

Don’t remind me. That was the nastiest thing I have ever seen. Bone popping out of his skin. Awful.

This gymnast was quoted as saying that was her last gymnastics meet and that she will never compete again.  Not sure if that is just because she is a senior with lack of options to return, or if the injury is the reason.
