Self defense weapons

In my area there has been 2 reported attempts to kidnap women or girls for trafficking in the past few days.

I have 3 girls that I would like to have carry something.  Stun gun/ pepper spray or even a knife.

They were all raised and know how to shoot my pistols but I don’t want them to get a ccw.  ( even though my 18 year is hella good with my Smith and Wesson)

A few things I don’t know about:

1. Is there a good multi weapon out there?

2.  What makes a stun gun good?

I’m not knowledgeable on the topic at all. It was bad here prior to Covid. My daughter certainly had some issues at college.

I would say the best weapon would be awareness. So many potential situations for those type of people to attack….just being uber aware in each potential situation.

I’ve seen buddies have no reaction to a stun gun when drunk I would go with mace. With a knife in worried they could be overpowered and now you bought them something that could be turned against them fatally. I know my mom and niece each carry mace on them. My mom actually had hers taken away going to a CBJ game but the guy also pointed out to her it was expired and he said wouldn’t function properly anymore anyways. I think he told her they have a 3-4 year life span. So when you buy one check the expiration date and always remember to update them.

Can you just give them your personality?  No one would come near them.

Your right.  I do give off the “don’t fuck with me” vibe.

How about teaching them the old scything elbow to the throat or side of the head, a la Jack Reacher?  Or a head-butt to the attacker's nose?

On a more serious note, here's an interesting article on self-defense tools women can carry in their purse without being obtrusive.  I like the idea of a necklace with a hidden blade.  Have also seen advice to carry a solid flashlight, although might be a bit bulky.  And a lipstick case stun gun?  Very cool if within expiration date.
