Just started watching Atlanta and The Good Place.

Both are really better than I expected.

Ever watch James May's "Toy Stories" from the BBC?

Nope, never heard of it.

I love, love, love Atlanta. I can't wait for the second season in March.
The Good Place is also very sneaky good.

I started watching Sneaky Pete on Amazon. Bryan Cranston steals the show as the villian in his scenes. The show has a very Justified vibe to it.

I also started the Chi on Showtime. It wants to be the Wire for Chicago, but just fails so far. It is good though.

I saw one episode of The Good Place on the plane back from Vegas a week ago.  It was good enough that I've already caught up.  After watching Ted Danson on CSI Cyber (which really wasn't as bad as it gets credit for, but was far too formulaic), I wondered if his career was headed to a bad place.  Glad to see he's found some legs in this.

As for Atlanta, I will pretty much always give Donald Glover the benefit of the doubt.  The man is obscenely talented.

I've always liked Giovanni Ribisi since I saw him in Boiler Room and Middlemen, so I was looking forward to Sneaky Pete.  Just never got around to it.  Glad to hear it's so good.

As for Chi, I just saw an ad for it for the first time the other day.  Wasn't sure what to expect.

Anyone watch American Crime Story: The Assasination of Gianni Versace FX??

I have it DVR’d, and it looks good. If it’s anything like the OJ one last year, I’ll call it a win.

Previews look solid but not interested in the subject matter.....don't know who the person is.

I get that. I just don’t know how. That’s like not knowing who Ralph Lauren is. Even if you don’t wear or own any Versace, everyone knows the brand.

I've heard of it but couldn't tell you what product line it would be.

Sad but true I guess.

Don't get me wrong.  It IS really weird, but if you've just never heard of it, you've never heard of it.

I actually remember when I heard he'd been killed.  I didn't have any special connection to the brand or anything.  Just one of those weird, crystalized-in-time moments in my memory.

Anyway, if you're ever out and you see the below logo, that's Versace:

No he was killed years ago (1997). By a random serial killer. It was a huge story. Like O-Trap, I was young (11) but remember the national news and the manhunt for the killer even before he killed Versace.

I started watching The Wire again last night. This will be my second time through, I think the first was about 5 years ago.

I recently finished my first go-around with it. A time so grand that I spent time figuring out why I'd wasted so many years watching other stuff when I could have been watching it.
