Wife wants to grow some basil this summer. Since we are home, figured we might as well go for it. Question I have is what other herbs/vegetables/whatever are relatively easy to grow?

We are using a pot(s), since our actual garden is full. Thinking Chives, Rosemary. But wondered about Tomatoes, or anything else more edible versus a garnish.

I have a raised bed but didn’t do it this year, can’t seem to keep the deer out. Peppers and tomatoes are both pretty easy.

Lettuce, cilantro, jalapeños, and tomatoes are my easy go-to’s.

Wife always has a nice herb garden:  basil, rosemary, chives, thyme, oregano, parsley, Italian parsley, sage, dill, and mint.

My husband has had good luck with tomatoes, cucumbers and banana peppers for the last 4 or 5 years. He has a raised bed in our back yard.
