this is not a poll thread--it's just a question for you fast food aficionados: about a 1/2 mile from my house there's a McDonalds and an Arby's right next to each other--they actually share the same driveway entrance. However,there could be 10 cars in the Mc D's line and nobody in the Arby's drive thru. I notice they both have signs advertising dollar menus,so I assume the price really isn't an issue--does Arby's suck that bad??
I really don't patronize these places,so I can't offer an opinion--what's yours???

I'd go to the Arbys 9 times out of 10.

Never understood the fascination with McDonalds, the only things I'll eat there are their fries and their chicken.

arbys just started their dollar menu within the last month or 2. The food is much better at arby's, however excluding the dollar menu the food is more expensive at arby's.

I didn't realize Arbys had a dollar menu. There couldn't be much on it with how expensive the food generally is there. My guess is that McDonald's has more business because of hamburgers/cheeseburgers.

I prefer Arby's over McDonald's. Although Abby's offers a dollar menu the value of the food on that men is nowhere close to the value of McDonald's menu.

The dollar menu at arbys isnt nearly as good as it is at McD's, the junior roast beef is so damn small

Arby's is much more expensive than McDonald's. I think the food at Arby's is better but I have issues with them. Bitches gave me a meatless Market Fresh turkey sandwich and I didn't notice it until I got home. Don't know about you but I'm not a fan of lettuce, onion & tomato sandwiches. They were snubbed for awhile.

Mcdonalds $1 menu is better because the shit on the Arbys $1 menu is so damn tiny. And everything else at Arbys costs $900 minimum.

I will take Arby's any day over McD's but I think most people hit McD's because of the price. I can tell you though I haven't had anything on Arby's dollar menu, at dinner a few nights ago at work a guy got a few Arby's dollar sandwiches and when he opened them I laughed. I thought he bought two small buns for a buck each there was literally nothing in them.

Arbys here as well but the prices are too high and they took away a bunch of stuff on the 5 for 5 deal. I haven't been back since then and that was over 2 months ago. Mc D's is ok for breakfast as the sausage egg mcmuffin can't be beat but other than that as another poster said its chicken and fries.

Arby's is soooo much better than McDevil. But I agree I think they have priced themselves out of a lot of business. Just tried their value menu yesterday. It's small but enough for me.

I prefer Arby's...but McDonald's does give more food for the money. And I have to drive about 10 miles to reach an Arby's, while I have a McDonald's in town.

For the case in this thread, I'd say advertising is part of the McD's appeal. From my avid watching of the NCAA tournament, I'd guess there was a McD's commercial about every 48 seconds. Arby's can't compete with that.
