Cheers.

Yes, the handicap section is on the south end of the new stands, and the ramp comes across the north end. It looks strange, and will take some getting used to.

Does this mean they are taking out the deck up top?Probably so since new stands and press box will go in.

Generally the older and more urbanized area of a large city surrounding the Central Business District. The term often refers to densely populated blighted areas characterized by low-income residents and a high proportion of minority racial and ethnic groups.

I guess. If you consider Steubenville a "Large City" and "Densely Populated".
Not large or densley populated, but the rest of the description describes to a tee the areas surrounding SHS. So, like a said you can skew reality any way you want when you only take half of whatever into consideration (in this case your own definition of inner city). The fact is the low-income plus minority usually means crime. So, again that can be found in every corner of the counrty, now tell me where the high school football team comes in to play. If you don't know off the top of your head perhaps it's written in a sociology textbook somewhere. Probably not....

That deck is outside the 20 yard line, so, I doubt if they will remove it. Besides, it is right next to the restrooms; that's very important to the handicapped.
Cheers.

I would bet they will remove the old handicap deck next year when the new home stands are built.

Actually that deck is on the goalline.

I know.
I should have said outside the 20 yard line which would not affect the pressbox dimensions between the 20s.
It was built there with accessibility to the restrooms in mind; hard to believe they would no longer consider that. But, stranger things have happened.
Cheers.

Well, the new codes require that all bleachers have a handicap area, so in the future all 4 sides will have them, which makes the old deck kind of overkill. We will still have the new deck right next to the top restrooms.

Maybe you should read your own post and get back to me about only taking half into consideration. HAHA

I have to laugh at SYL being so "serious" on these threads after being nothing more than a filthy little fucking troll on every Pittsburgh sports thread.

Okay? We are talking about why you will see some kids from SHS in the news and its b/c the area around the high school fit the characteristics of inner city that are associated with crime. Poverty and minorities. Maybe now you can point out what the football team's role in those facts are now.

I guess you are saying that by me admitting Steubenville is not large or densely pop.'d....well, to be honest I don't know what the hell you're getting at. I'm sure it's something quite stupid though.

You are trying to argue a point with me that I happen to agree with you about (hell is freezing over). That being the fooball program has no responsibility for peoples actions after they leave the program. I was not the one giving grief about that.
My point was that it seems the excuse that Steubenville is an inner city comes up alot from certain people. I just don't see Steubenville with a huge "Inner City" problem. Hell all towns in the valley have problems with low income. Just because Steubenville has more minority population than most doesn't qualify for inner city status IMO.

I just walked over to the west end zone around 3:30 PM and all I saw was a handicap ramp starting at the North end but nothing that looked like handicap seating; maybe that will come later.
I'm starting to run this subject into the ground, sorry. We'll have to see how it all pans out later.
Cheers.

The handicap "seating" is just a larger aisle for wheelchairs in the front row.

The state of Ohio designates the Steubenville City School District as "Inner City", so if you have a problem with that, then take it up with them and quit arguing about it.

Also, you have to be a city to be an "inner city", towns and villages do not qualify.

Then why doesn't Toronto have an inner city? Because they are, in fact, a city.

Is it a good thing or bad thing to be inner city?I forget the reason this came up.If Toronto wants to be called inner city then I'm all for it.I might even start calling Jewett inner city.I just don't know why it matters.Anybody else's town want to be called inner city?Any takers?

I think after reading this thread, there is no doubt that Big Red is one of Ohio's most notorious teams... As far as rival fans go, I also think that Big Red and the immediate surrounding area top the list as well.

You have to be a city, AND meet the other qualifications set by the state, which Toronto doesn't have.

Is Toronto still going to be a city after the next census is released?

Because people want to use this as an excuse.

We need an excuse for why low income minority young adult males w/ little to no guidance at home get in trouble after they get out of school. Or is even bringing that up in a conversation about football just a way of deflecting the fact that your team can't beat them, so you have to pick on the only thing you can? Wow. Some kids do crime get in trouble after high school. That ONLY happens in Steubenville. :) I can't name anyone from CCHS football or IC football or anywhere else who went to jail. Oh wait, yes I can.

But what oh what does it have to do with football? Nothing. I believe that you guys get some satisfaction by seeing people fail in life because your kids or even you failed on the football field against them. It's a f^@%ed way to think but that's what you do....
