I think he might. Depends on who gets the pick obviously.

But even Jersey, just keep Harris and have Cousins and Lopez down low--that could be pretty dominant.

I don't know, I think there is going to be more discussion about it than it seemed like there would be about a month ago. I've been on the "Cousins is going to be a freak" bandwagon since the McDonald's game. But I never thought there would be a doubt with Wall. Not that I doubt Wall either, I think they're both going to be studs in the NBA and are the two best players in the country. No disrespect Evan Turner, you are POY though.

Cousins is 17-20 from the field in the tournament. That's unreal.

Yes he could. Me and a friend have been talking about Cousins as the best player on UK for a few weeks now..

However, the #1 slot could go 3 ways. I don't think ET will be the #1 pick, but you never know.

He could. Evan Turner could too. It all depends on who gets the #1 pick and what their needs are.

I would think a 6' 11" 270lb. PF would be a little more valuable heading into the league, especially w/his skill set, but that's probably just me a little.

He's worthy of the #1 overall. I don't think anybody takes him over Wall though. Wall is more NBA ready than Cousins. He's a BIG boy, but he needs some more moves before he plays that well in the NBA. He can't over-power people in the NBA like he does now.

I think that Evan Turner could get it, just think a 6'7 215 pound small forward in the NBA, who is a playmaker

Very good discussion here. And either way it plays out, I don't see how these two don't go 1-2. Turner is a great college player, but doesn't have half as much potential in the NBA as these guys.

All season Wall has been in consideration for POY, but I actually thought that Cousins was more valuable to the team than Wall.

Personally I think there is more value in an elite PG over an elite PF, therefore Wall goes #1. But both will have very successful NBA careers.

I like Cousins more as a C than a PF. He'd either be my 2nd or 3rd choice of the draft. I still think Turner can be a pretty good player in the NBA.

He doesnt have as much because...John Wall is an athletic freak, and You cant teach 6'11 270 with cousins. Thatd be why I think they have more potential then ET

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/hollinger/statistics

For those with espn insider, Hollinger released PER ratings for NCAA players this year and tops was.....Demarcus Cousins at 35.45, way ahead 2nd place Jordan Eglseder.

For those wondering Turner is 5th at 31.30 and Wall isn't in the top 100.

Cousins could very well go #1 overall. He certainly has the talent to be a #1 pick. But the thing that will hurt him is his lack of maturity. Cousins is a bit of a head case right now and probably will be for several more years. Until he grows up he will constantly be getting in his own way, preventing himself from reaching his full potential. When I look at what Cousins has done this year I can't help be see him as Zach Randolph 2.0. Randolph has always had the ability to be what he has been for Memphis, and he has done it for other teams. The problem was that he brought a ton a baggage and a reputation for being a cancer in the locker room where ever he went. This year he has more or less settled in and been productive on the court and off for the Grizzlies. But it took him close to a decade to stop being a fuck up. Cousins could be a career double double guy, but I would be stunned if the team drafting him gets the benefit of it. I think he will play for several teams before the light goes off for him. I still think that Wall is pretty easily settled on top of everyones draft board at this point.

Reread my post, I didn't say he didn't have potential. I said he doesn't have half the potential of these two.

Cousins and Wall both have the potential to be the best players at their respective positions in time. Turner doesn't have that same potential.

FALSE

If the Knicks earn the first pick, and they're sending it to Utah, then Utah will probably take Turner. They have their point guard, they don't need another, they're not the Timberwolves drafting 2 point guards.

Again, Turner has zero chance of being picked #1.

If you weren't a homer you'd understand this. I'm not going to explain it.

Has the draft already happened? No...

Therefore, ET has a chance at being #1 just like everyone else. It all depends on who gets the #1 pick.

Turner is a "tweener". He isn't a solid forward draft pick due to his size and he's not a solid PG pick due to his shooting. There are others that fit a specific need ie; 5,4,2's etc...I don't think ET has shot one at getting picked first, and I'm as big a homer as they come.

Thank you. ET is the POY and a good player, but there is zero chance he goes #1.

I guess I can see that. Guess that wasn't too hard to explain...
