Everyone knows wrestling is fake. It's a TV show. You don't watch TV shows? If you don't like it..great..that's your opinion. If you don't watch WWE. Just don't click on the thread that says 'WWE Fans' in the title. It's a pretty simple concept. It can't be that hard to grasp.

Come on man..you don't have to try to do this shit on every thread. I don't know what you get out of trying to be the 'residential Ohio Chatter asshole'.

Well that would make sense, except for the fact that Nash didn't have booking duties at that time.

Wasn't it Goldberg who put 40,000 people in the Georgia Dome for a Nitro show?

Yep.

In all fairness, it was his hometown, and he was in the main event, for the belt, against Hollywood Hogan lol

I used to think that Goldberg was awesome when he was spearing and jackhammering everyone to death... but after the whole belt run and losing it via electroshock, I lost interest in him, and certainly had none when he came to WWE because it was one of the worst kept secrets ever.

Sadly the internet has ruined wrestling for the most part.

There are very few surprises any more, which kinda stinks, but at the same time I still enjoy it.

In this day and age the hogan turn, when he joined the NWO would've been reported to death, and we would've all known about it, instead of being legitimately stunned, when it happened.

According to Hulk Hogan,Ric Flair,Chris Jericho, and Eric Bischoff who all worked there during that time...the deal Hogan agreed to lose to Goldberg as long as he was the one to end the streak, and when Nash heard of this...he promptly booked himself to beat Goldberg

Nash certainly had booking power in WCW. He, Hogan, and Bischoff were pretty much running the company for a few years there. Jericho mentioned this both in his book and on the WCW DVD that the WWE put out a couple years ago which was a great DVD.

Eddie Guerrero also talks about it in his book.

Bischoff took one of his sabaticals around that time and gave the book to Nash.

The very first decision he made was to end Goldberg's streak.

There are quite a few interviews with Nash on YouTube in which he addresses this.

Gibby.. Jericho was anything but a "huge star" in WCW. Hogan, while a legend in his own right, is widely known as one of the biggest pieces of shit in professional wrestling, which is why MANY people hating TNA bringing him in. Hogan had a ton of creative control over his character, but he didn't control Nash and Goldberg. Hogan not losing cleanly to Sting at Starcade showed that he was a selfish bastard. Hell, if Nash was pulling all of the shots then, why would he book himself to win in such a stupid way, only to lost the belt to Hogan in the fingerpoke of doom LMAO. Believe it or not, Flair didn't have much pull in WCW, aside from himself of course. There's a reason he left for so long..

Dont believe it, but Nash was the head booker for a long period of time in WCW and it was horrible.

I know he was head booker (and awful at it) for a while, but the only thing I was disputing was rather or not he was booking himself to beat Goldberg.
