The "we beat up on each other" argument is bullshit. Just like when some people on here play that card during the Big 10 football season.

The whole "NBA player" argument....I think the Big East has quite a few NBA players on their conference teams right now.

The Cavs have three on their roster, but I don't think that's what he meant.
Williams and Green, who am I missing????

Big 10 basketball is head and shoulders above the big least. Big 10 football is better than SEC and its not close.

Big East has just as many wins as the MAC after the first day! That 0-1 record vs. the MAC hurts them in the head-to-head rankings, though. Sorry, my peeps!

So when is the MAC going to get it's second team into the tournament that it has deserved for the last 7 years? Ohio has pretty much put the theory that the Big East is better so it deserves more teams to rest. I'm pretty sure that the MAC beats up on each other too during the regular season. Putting only one team into the NCAA tournament is a damn shame.

Until today, the entire MAC did not have one quality win against an outside opponent. Even Kent, the regular season champ, barely beat Tulsa in the NIT. KSU is my alma mater, but I don't think we deserved to be in the NCAA. Of course, if we beat Illinois Monday evening, I could be proven wrong.

Here is a good example of why people are nuts if they don't think having Rutgers join the Big Ten would help from a media stand point.

It's the same reason that whenever a Big East team is good in football, they get overrated and end up exposed most of the time.

They're media darlings because of location and they get press--so they get overrated.

There are A LOT of Tar Heels in the NBA, but I think people misunderstand his original point..

They were talking about this years team and somebody said the Heels didn't have any NBA players..

However, I think Mr. Ed Davis would like to have a word with you. I'd also imagine John Henson will be in the NBA soon as well.

BE definitely looked shitty today. SEC didn't have a good day. Big Ten, ACC, and the rest of the Big 12 are on deck tomorrow.

To be honest though, isn't this just confirming what a lot of people have thought this year in that there are no teams that are truly great and can just smack down the little guys? Off the top of my head I can't think of a conference that had a really good day. The SEC lost Florida and Tennessee wasn't overly impressive. The BE is obvious. The Big 12 had Texas go out in a good game, but one that was indicative of Texas' season in that they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Everyone knows the Pac 10 blows ass. I'm not sure I can see any conference having a real great weekend but I'm excited to see how it plays out tomorrow.

I'd say the Big 12 had a pretty decent day. 3-1 and the loss was a good game in one of the 8/9 match ups which are usually toss ups? Granted Texas fell off the face of the earth once they reached the top spot in the polls and Baylor didn't play all that well but the Kansas schools won convincingly.

Marquette and ND were both expected to be in middle/bottom half of the big east, they were overseeded due to the way they ended the year.

I could see how Gtown was worn down. Aside from 4 games in 4 days, they played Cuse 3 times, WVU twice, Duke, Nova, Louisville all in their last 15 games.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the conference does.

My thoughts exactly. I picked a lot of upsets this year just because I knew there were no great teams. I picked Old Dominion, Washington, Murray State and N. Iowa yesterday and have Cornell and Sienna winning today. Just to let everyone know I only use one sheet.

Worn down? Please...they were not worn down. They obviously didn't play their best game...but OU just flat out beat them. Didn't need a miracle or anything. Giving up 90+pts...no excuse for that at all. On top of that, i believe OU had to play a number of games in their conf. tourney as well.

Big East is just way overseeded. Gtown for example finished tied for 7th in the conference with 10 losses and gets a 3 seed for beating an injured Syracuse team without one of its best players....OSU on the other hand Doesn't even get credit for winning its conference and Conf. tourney. Not really sure why the Big 10 sticks to that late championship game when obviously it hasn't even been taken into account by the NCAA tournament committee in years.

Ok???? Just think it would be hysterical after all the B10 fans are making fun of the Big East.

And quite the contrary, I actually just got a date last night :D

When? Care to make a wager on that above statement? You'd have to make your date pay! ;)
