Well, there you go, Carolina won't go under .500 for the second time in the last decade.

The turnaround has begun.

Halfway through the ACC season, I honestly did not think Carolina would win a postseason game.

Likely 17-17. Doesn't look half as bad as 16-17.

I'm kinda bummed, actually. If Carolina wins this thing and finishes 20-17 or whatever, I'll be sick.

Miss. St. only plays real, real good against UK. Which is why they DIDN'T make the big dance.

If Carolina plays well(unlikely) they can win that game.

I watched Duke games with my Dad, who has been following the Devils since K's early days, as religiously then as I do now. Although, my fervor has probably grown over the years:) I am not a normal fan.

I picked Carolina on ESPN's Streak for the Cash in this one, but I won't be upset if my four game winning streak ends:D
Handed me my third loss of the day after a 6 game winning streak.

Didnt see any of the game but were the W&M three's wide open or they just shot alot? Shooting three's is about the only thing that MSU does(along with JV blocking shots). T-5th in made and 4th in attempts in the nation.

1st matchup in the NIT of the major underachievers.

They shot 43 threes.

Some were open looks; but IMO most were contested, just not contested enough

I ended winning by two to advance my winning streak to five. William & Mary had six steals. Lol.

Why I originally wrote Sienna I don't know.

Man, I wouldve hit UNC -8.5 if those stupid ass players could do more than split at the line. That was atrocious!

Matt...

I don't know about the record, but in looking I found that 2 Div II teams combined for over 100 in a game. One team taking 77 alone.

Troy State, at one time, had the all division NCAA record with 52 MAKES from three in a game against DeVry Institute in the early '90s. They had a hell of a run-and-gun program back in the day. They still own the all-time record for points scored in a game, at 272, if my memory serves me correct.

I used to follow this team and Grinnell out of Iowa back in the day. I LOVE this style of basketball.

I gotta give William and Mary credit..

At first, I thought I was seeing a turning point when UNC got out to a 9-0 lead.. alas, it wasn't. W&M fought back and my goodness, can those guys shoot the rock. I was loving this game.. Great back and forth action in a great environment.

Glad UNC pulled it out, but going to Miss. St. won't be easy. I'd love to see these guys win the NIT just to pad the record a bit and keep gaining more and more confidence along the way.

I was getting frustrated though late in the second half when UNC kept feeling the need to TRY and match 3's with W&M.. Tyler had post position on two straight possessions and the ball was never dumped into him. Thankfully, he didn't let that bother him, as he made one of the biggest plays f the game.
