Alot of the good stuff starts immediately, and the first possible repeal date would be January of 2013, and that is assuming BHO loses the presidency and Republicans manage to hold both houses of Congress. That is a lifetime from now.

Besides, the way this bill is structured no Republican would have the guts to repeal it knowing that it would lead to an immediate insurance company purge of 20-30 million people as well as the return of the donut hole, kids being kicked off their parents insurance, and a bunch of other stuff.

Democrats were willing to lose their jobs because they knew that 3 years from now when a repeal would even be possible, that it will have taken hold in a way that will make it politically impossible to repeal as to get rid of the bad stuff all the good stuff people do like would have to go as well.

The egomanical one has demanded they make this his legacy and, in the process, lay the foundation for an entire new entitlement program that will ensure Democrat success long down the road when the program becomes so entrenched, the masses that now depend on it will have to keep re-electing Democrats.

So you've got a cycle of dependency on government and a government that will depend on those addicted to its services to keep it propped up.

This was a major power play by the Democrats now -- that they are betting will pay them great dividends in terms of power in the future.

This has NOTHING to do with what is right or best for the American people.

People elected Obama because he wasn't Bush. Not because they wanted a takeover of the health care system.

And we aren't a Democracy and never have been.

The people did NOT elect Obama to do whatever the hell he wants -- even when a strong majority of the country is against it.

This bill is being driven by ideology -- not pragmatism or some noble thoughts of doing the right thing.

This is about strengthening the foundation of the party in power so that its power continues to grow.

I am interested to see the fallout now that Obamacare is upon us.

Gallup reported today that Obama had a 7 point swing in his approval rating over the past few days in a positive direction from 46/Approve, 47/Disapprove to 50/approve, 43/disapprove.

For as far as it seems he has fallen, the fact that he is pushing through a bill that allows the government to takeover 1/6th of the economy, and is favored by only 35% of the American public, yet he has still managed to keep his approval rating in a range of 46-52% is pretty telling of how popular personally he is in this country.

Everyone assumes as a forgone conclusion he is going to be ousted from the Presidency in 2012, but he has managed to keep a very high approval all while pushing through possibly the most divisive piece of legislation in this country in decades. That is unheard of, and scary because he has a huge base out there that seems to be unphased by anything he does.

This bill will do nothing for your insurance except make it more expensive. The President doesn't care about you. He doesn't care about that woman that he's been using as an example of the evil insurance companies, it's all a power grab. The President you support is cutting funding to Medicare, to the tune of $500 Billion. That's not a person who cares about those on Medicare.

That's because there is such a culture of living off the government in this country, once a new program starts, you can't get rid of it. Pretty soon, everyone will be living off the government. It's just a matter of time.

I may not agree with everything that Boehner is saying, but he is giving one hell of a speech. I'll give him that.
