McCoy and Pike likely will be gone by the 3rd.

If they wait until the 3rd, Tebow or Snead are real possibilites.

And nobody knows who for sure will be the starter, I would say it is a tossup right now.

All of these QB's could be available at the top of the 3rd round. If there's one they REALLY like at the the mid/bottom of that round they can always use a pick to trade up.

I dunno about that.
Only QB I'd consider in round 1 is Bradford. If Clausen fell to us I'd see if we could trade down.

If Bradford stays healthy I really think he's going to be something special. If he locks into the right system I could see him having a Peyton Manning-like career.

It would be a shock right now if Bradford didnt go #1.

Cleveland already tried the Notre Dame QB thing and that didnt exactly work.

^^^I couldn't agree more on the second part of your post. No more "golden boys" from ND. We could be wrong about Clausen, but I highly doubt it. If you take Golden Tate and the other big WR(forget his name) out of the equation, he doesn't put up the numbers he did. JMO>>

That's not fair. Quinn dropped in the draft for a reason. No one was really high on him.

Clausen can make all the throws and is a different QB. It's like saying no one should touch an OSU defensive lineman because Gholsten isn't doing well.

...If Tebow is around in the 3rd round ( I doubt he will be) but if he is, I'd take him and at least use him as a TE/back up QB.

Gil Brandt who is probably the most (or at least top 5) respected in the NFL among the (former) scouting ranks has told Holmgren that Colt McCoy will "make people forget about Joe Montana." I think that comment is a MAJOR stretch but I could see the Browns targeting McCoy at some point.

I'd rather have McCoy over Jimmy Boy.

i would rather have Clausen. he has a big arm (something quinn didnt have) and is a heck of a leader. clausen throws the best deep ball in the draft and can make every throw on the field. im just a little worried about bradfords shoulder and he ability to play under center

What's the scouting report on Snead? He might be a bit underrated...

You're right, because Notre Dame has never had a good QB... I do like the rock solid logic though, because Player A is from the same school as Player B, they must be the same type of player!

Clausen is much better than Quinn. He has a stronger arm and is more accurate and though Tate and co. are good receiver they aren't what Quinn had in Stovall and Samardjia.

Should the Browns draft Crompton because Peyton Manning went to Tennessee?

I like the sounds of that. A little out there with the Joe Montana comparison, but I would really like to see McCoy there when the Browns draft in the 2nd round. If not, I'm not sure there is a QB worth targeting until the fouth round at best.

imo quinn was better than clausen. but one thing is for certain , some people cant get enough of those golden domer busts.

I wish Quinn luck. He deserves a shot somewhere. I wish things would have worked out but it is obvious he needed a change of scenery as did the Browns. Quinn will probably turn out to be the second coming because that is just our luck.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion with actually watching the two play. Like I said, Clausen has a better arm and is more accurate but I guess Quinn had more team success.

Correct, Elway was a sub .500 QB.

He answered your question -- it doesn't matter if it's an exception or not. YOU made it sound like there weren't any good ones and he proved you wrong.
