Believe I read where the Naismith is right around Final Four. And the Wooden is soon after the Final Four.

Turner might of solidified POY after that shot. Even though ESPN's overplayed it, that was an amazing shot. It even had a great stroke to it.

Jesus Christ dude are you serious? Give it up man, Turner is POY and it's unanimous.

This shot did nothing for Turner's chances of POY, because he already had it locked up.

Lol ESPN's Ryan Burr (I believe it was) said the "Laettners come out this time of year." That was a half court shot to beat a 17-loss team. Laettner hit his against Kentucky in the regional final. Great shot, but please.

As for POTY voting, yes, Turner already has it locked up.

it doesn't matter if it comes against a 25 loss team--you STILL HAVE TO MAKE IT!!!

He wasn't saying it was equal to CL shot, just comparing the type of shot, and putting Laettner in as it's poster child. He's giving Laettner kudos, not putting ET's shot on the same level as his.

Little touchy this time of year much? :)

Yeah, a little.

I just really wanted that shot to rim out (it's not exactly a secret that I don't like OSU). :)

But, I do give credit where credit is due. Tough shot, by a tough player. I can't ignore a tremendous talent. I'd agree with Michigan's coach, however, in that Turner didn't have any better shot at making a half-courter than practically any other player on the floor. It was a half-courter. He had lady luck on his side. Then again, this argument could be made for anyone who makes a buzzer beater shot. So, I'll just leave it at that.

Tough shot, by a tough player.

Beilen is crazy with that comment. Turner is the best player in the game...you don't let THAT player beat you. Take your chances. He has the best handles....let Diebler or anyone else get it and pressure them. No way no how do I let Turner get it, and if he does, I have TWO guys on him.

Oh, no, I agree with you to an extent, CBF. Turner should have been basically face masked the entire way. It was crazy that he was that open.

My only point was that, in the end, it was still a half court shot. Turner didn't make it (IMO) because he is a NPOTY. Half courters at the last second are what they are. But it was a tough shot nonetheless. You can't blame Beilen for trying to defend his idiocy.

Locked up? If he didnt score any points in this game would it of been a lock already? If OSU gets bounced in the first round and Turner has a bad game, and UK wins it all......would it still be locked up? As far as I know they dont vote for POY until April.

Coming from the guy who said a couple days ago that Turner should win but it wouldnt be any surprise if Wall won it. LOL

There is one thing I will give you credit for cbf......you were the only one at half season saying Turner is the best player. Every one was all over Wall and saying no one else was even close. At least you have stuck to your guns unlike 99% everyone else.

And lastly, I gave Turner a compliment and I still get the OSU fan hatred. Couldnt expect anything less. Who's the bad guy?

Actually, I have been saying that Turner was the best player since early in the season.

As for my comment about nothing surprising me....it had nothing to do with who I think the best player is, as much as it did for how Wall was annointed this and that before he stepped foot on a college court. He is a media darling playing for a storied program. Just as with OSU and the Heisman...thats an advantage without question. Turner has had to earn everything he has gotten this year. He didn't start off in the convo at all and Wall was put there from the getgo. Thats not an easy thing to overcome.

I got ripped, didn't I? ;) Its all good...Wall is a stud, no question. Just think Turner all around game is second to none in college right now.
And, I actually bieve Cousins deserves more then what Wall is getting. If I were a UK fan...and had to make a choice of the two..I'd take Cousins. I htink UK could lose Wall and still be fine...obviously not as good. But if they lost Cousins...I think they would be in deep trouble.

Me personally, I put Cousins/Patterson/Wall pretty even. All 3 are very helpful, but Wall can be replaced with Bledsoe and UK would be fine, IMO. Of course I wouldnt enjoy that that much though
