Where you paddled as a kid?
What where you paddled with?
Who did the paddling mostly?
Between what age where you paddled and when did the paddling stop?

I was paddled many times …….
By my mom she use a wooden spoon
My grandpa he used a cat-nine-tails
My dad he used his fist or back hand more of beating that a paddling
I can remember get paddled before I was in the first grade and I think the paddling stopped in the sixth grade. I was almost 5’11” and 145 pounds so at that point the fear that I would fight back seem to end the idea of paddling or beating me.

I paddled my daughters but only with my hand and the paddling stopped with my daughters around the 5 grade (they were good kids most of the time). When my daughters got old (between 14 and 18) there was many times I thought a good slap was in order but I held back.
Now the wife used a wooden spoon and only once was a back hand required on one daughter and that seemed to send a message to the others not to talk back to mom.

What where you paddled with? - Hand... over someone's knee, mostly to embarrass especially when I was older
Who did the paddling mostly? - Either, a friends Dad paddled me once too.
Between what age where you paddled and when did the paddling stop? - I'd say about 4th or 5th grade.

I was paddled.
My mom and my old man did it. I had to really screw up to get a paddling it was not a regular occurence.
He used his hand, she used a willow switch. Both very effective.
Probably from 4 to 11. I was paddled.

What where you paddled with?.......mostly the hand, but got the belt, the flyswatter, the yardstick, probably a few other things as well.
Who did the paddling mostly?.......Mostly mom, dad was a yeller.
Between what age where you paddled and when did the paddling stop?.. Around 13 or so.

Yes.

Hand mostly but some items that were also used flip flops (more sound than hurt) and a Jesus Loves You paddle from the paddle-string-ball contraptions. I still give my mom shit about that one.

Mom did most of it.

Paddling stopped at like 10 when I started laughing at them.

SideNote: Did you hate it when the spoon or paddle broke and you had to wait for your parents to find something else .............. Like the best out of 5 paddles and you have to wait for the last two.

My father beat me with a belt nearly every day, drunk of course. This went on for about 10 years, until he left. My mother continued where he left off, not drinking, just mean as hell. It finally stopped when I was 16, when my mother put a cig out on my arm.
I spanked my four very rarely rarely. I could count on one hand raising my hand.

Between what age where you paddled and when did the paddling stop? My relatives have told me my mom used to whip me when I was only a few months old, so I'd say a cpl months old-9 or 10yrs old.

I can honestly say I do not remember being spanked/paddled growing up.

Dad never laid a hand on me. Mom back handed me once when I got mouthy. I deserved it, though. It only took that one time and I thought twice about opening my mouth from then on...

Where you paddled as a kid? Yep! And looking back now, I deserved it haha!

What where you paddled with? paddle, fly swatter, mostly hands.
(although 1 time I was trying to run past my mother and she picked up a baby doll and swatted me with it)

Who did the paddling mostly? My mother. Being a Daddy's girl, he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Between what age where you paddled and when did the paddling stop? About 5th grade. But I still got the occasional backhand. Again, deserved it.

I was spanked everything I deserved it.

Usually hand, sometimes belt.

Both parents, dad if it was a "serious offense" as he spanked harder.

My last one was probably around 11-13, I can't remember for sure.

I have 3 boys, they are 8, 6, and 3. They all get spanked when needed. Of course the younger ones need it a little more as they are still being taught right and wrong.

The 8 year old hardly ever gets spanked anymore, and not because we don't believe in it, he's generally a good kid. I can't remember the last time he got a spanking.

Only got a couple of light pankings to "get my attention" from Mom and Dad. Got threatened with the ol razor strap... just the thought kept me from being too much of a pain in the a--.

I do not spank our four year old daughter... my wife will though. I choose not to because I have a bad temper.... I do not want to ever cross the line from a light spanking to physical abuse. JMO. I did pick her up and with a nose to nose "Eskimo kiss style" and tell her that I was seriously considering changing my philosophy about spanking... and I asked her... Do you understand? She said "Yes" lol

I am not against light spanking... just not for me.

Dang, man........I feel pretty lucky after reading all this stuff. And yes, I got spanked when I was little..........one time I made my mom cry when she spanked me with the yard stick, it broke, and I just laughed.

And one time, when little BRF was in the 4th grade, the principal grabbed him and yanked him out of his seat and swatted him with his hand..................for talking during lunch.

BUT, maybe that was a good thing, because from then on I knew how far to "push the envelope", before stopping..............man oh man.......I did NOT want to get my ass beat by one of those mean coaches in Jr. High and High School. I learned how to run. And when I saw one of those "bad asses" in the hallway, I frickin' ran. :P

I can laugh about it now, and I think it taught me good life lessons...............but anything like that today would be, dare I say, a law suit! :D

My dad very rarely spanked me or my siblings, but my mom would use anything she could find to beat us. Did we deserve it? ...debatable considering her mental stability and all. She used to say, "This is going to hurt me more than it will hurt you". The last time she tried it had to be when I was 15 because my dad had already died. She came after me like the mad woman she was back then and I just flat out told her that if she hit me I was going to hit her back and it definitely would hurt her more than me. Needless to say, she didn't touch me.

I spanked my kids, but very rarely... The ex used to take a wooden spoon to our son, but again, very rarely.

never raised a hand to her, but I did pick her up by her shoulders and walk her into the living room and sat her in a chair and told her to never touch me again. She never did....

Never got spanked.

Whenever I did something wrong I was forced to endure an hour or longer lecture from my mother. And anyone who knows my mother knows she can be very intimidating. I'd think twice before doing anything again just so I wouldn't be forced to sit through another tirade.
