We have thrown our full support to England in 2018 and the hope is they support our bid in 2022. I have my doubts we can beat out some other countries though.

I think the Spain-Portugal combo will be tough to beat. Hopefully they are pushing harder for 2018 than 2022.

I think the summer games in 2020 will end up begin in the US, so 2022 winter games is probably a stretch.

The chair of the US Olympic Committee has said that there are no plans for an American city to bid on the 2020 Olympics. He seemed kind of pissed at the IOC in the quote, I think.

I like Reno-Lake Tahoe for 2022.

Has there ever been one in Switerland or Austria? That would seem like a good place.

St. Moritz and Innsbruck have hosted, both pretty small towns.

1928 St Moritz, Switzerland
1948 St Moritz, Switzerland
1964 Innsbruck, Austria
1976 Innsbruck, Austria (given to Innsbruck on short notice after Denver rejected the bid it had won)

I would bet that most of the skiing events would be held in Aspen if the official city was Denver in 2022. It's only 40 miles or so away from Denver.

I didn't realize that Tahoe has already hosted the Winter Olympics...they're still my pick, though.

I'll tell you where. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen.
