Port Clinton has met every challenge, has won a ton of games, has had a wonderful season and if they lose now, what has any of this silly bickering over whether they will win them all or not have proven? Isn't it a fairly decent accomplishment to do what they have already done? It's ludicrous for two presumably grown men to banter back and forth. I'm not a Port Clinton fan but here's my guess. If PC wins and goes all the way, Ron will be on here saying the obvious and if the Skins lose, well, you get the idea. I'd love to see them win it all. What excuse would then be offered up to explain how this team could have possibly won them all? I know. It's those prejudiced officials who more than likely had it in for PC's opponent.

PC is the best D-II team in Northwest Ohio this year. As someone posted on another message board, they've earned that title, but they should thank Toledo Central Catholic for going 8 boys over the D-II limit last year in their enrollment count. Central will be back at D-II in two years.

Lets see -- Port Clinton plays in a weak league. Port Clinton won't make it out of the sectionals - and can't beat Perkins 3 times in one year. Port Clinton won't make it out of the districts -- Lexington, Mansfield Madison, and Bellevue are better teams. Port Clinton won't make it out of the regionals - Defiance will kill them by 20 as the Western Buckeye League is very strong. Port Clinton won't beat Celina... Yea yea yea --- News guys -- Port Clinton accomplished all of those tasks and are headed to Columbus for the state tournament. Next Thursday night at 8:30 on that scoreboard hanging over the Ohio State logo at center court, it will say PORT CLINTON. GO REDSKINS --- They don't need to thank anyone because these guys have earned the trip. I am a very proud PC grad from years ago and will definitely be there cheering on the Red and White.

Erie, no one said they didn't earn it, just wouldn't have happened if CCHS didn't experience a one-year blip that caused them to go D-1 that's all. Redskins absolutely deserve their unbeaten record and state trip.

CCHS recruit more boys than they should have? NOT -- PC was just over the limit and bumped to Div. II. I don't think there is a team from the TCL in Columbus this year. GO REDSKINS.

Realistic Ron wrote: There I said it!!! There is no team in Ohio that can beat the Port Clinton Redskins. They have at least,,, yes at least, 3 1st team all-ohio players. They just can't be beat. period
I think this PC fan got a littlle too excited. However, they are going to the state tourney in D II. Congrats to you all in PC, enjoy the week.
BTW, You couldnt beat any of the 4 D I teams at the state tourney. You very well might be the best D II though?

Erie, what's your point? Hard to understand your typing. PC should also be glad they bumped to D-2. D-3 in Northwest Ohio this year stronger than D-2. Just the way it is. Some good luck and some very good players at PC. Go Redskins at state!

I would agree with ross ford81 about the situation regarding Central. I would think that Central would win a game against Port Clinton, but since Central isn't D-2 this season, the point becomes moot and if the truth were told, and I really like Coach Welling and his program over at Central, I'm not absolutely certain about the outcome of that hypothetical match-up either. At any rate, congratulations on a great season and good luck at State. Whatever happens, I think we all should just say "Fantastic season, Redskins. You earned it on the court."

CCHS Is lucky they didnt have to play PC because i honestly dont think CCHS would match up very well against PC considering they dont have the size inside to contest with Hicks and Francis. CCHS struggled against size this year against some of the crappy SLL teams when they beat Eastwood by 7 and was only up by 7 for most of the time against Genoa. PC wouldve had the guard play to match up with CCHS and would've been conditioned enough to play the 4 quarters.. now with that said. GOOD LUCK PC AT STATE!!!! NWO IS ROOTING FOR U!! STAY FOCUSED AND PLAY HARD!!

CCHS had real problems going 20-3, including beating St.Francis (6-11, 6-7) twice rather easily. Could PC beat CCHS? Sure, maybe once or twice out of 10 -- so yes, it could have happened in a tournament game. But there is no D-II team in NW Ohio that would be an even bet to beat the Irish.

Can i say the CL wasnt as good as ppl think it was this year? and Storm Stanley is not 6'11" i went to a camp with him where they measured his heigth and he was a still rather impressive 6'9 1/2" he is pretty impressive yes but he does not have the speed and agility that Hicks has nor the shooting touch of Francis
