im going to try really hard and give up pop this year. for the last few years giving something up for lent has always been like a new years resolution. i do really well for the first week or two, then its like "eh...screw it"

BTW, in giving up beer, that is in the sense of just sitting around drinking a 6 pack watching TV. If I go out I can still have a beer or 2. It's easier to say that I gave up beer, but in reality it's "lounge drinking"

Nah. I don't really have a problem when I go out with just having a beer or 2. It's sitting around watching tv where I will have 5-6 per night.
