Ohio State is favored by 1, which I find to be a little strange.

Illinois has proven themselves to be a very capable basketball team. Early victories over Clemson and Vanderbilt and recent victories over Wisconsin and Michigan State show just how formidable Illinois can be.

Evan Turner and Dimitri McCamey will be ampped up for their head-to-head battle. The winner of this battle will go along way in determining which team wins this game. Both teams are riding winning streaks.

As much as I want OSU to win this game, I think the Illini's homecourt advantage will be too much.

If Ohio State played very well at West Virginia with their crazy atmosphere, then I think they can and will do the same at Illinois. Only this time they will come away with a win. I can't wait!

Go Bucks! A travesty this win won't be over a ranked Illini team. Off topic but Bruce Webber is a hell of a coach and probably behind Matt Painter for coach of the year unless Carmodys' cats put together something quickly.

I also have a feeling that Illini will win on their home court. If this game is in Columbus I would probably say OSU would win. Very evenly matched teams.

Lauderdale defending shots on the perimeter has really impressed me....Not really sure how our big guy is closing in on their shooters but he has altered 2 or 3 shots from deep already.

Couldn't have asked for a better start. Illinois is having a tough time against the 1-3-1 zone defense.

To people who get on Matta for not subbing, can you blame him? Our starting 5 is very solid. Yeah they will get little rest but I like our chances with this lineup than anyone off the bench.

I'll admit that I often question Matta for not subbing, but it's hard to argue against him. The starting 5 are really beginning to play well together and they are arguably the best starting 5 in the country. The big question will be, can they sustain this throughout March? Diebler is shooting lights out right now......21-10 Bucks with 11:18 left in the first.

Matta good coaching with a 1-3-1. Eliminates some match up problems and is less tiring to play for the Big 4.

Couldn't agree more :) You know i'm all about the saving the legs. Not to mention, the zone is causing fits for Illinois.....Lighty might be one of the most athletic players in college basketball. Pretty sure he can jump out of the gymnasium.

I have said Lighty may have the best hops in the Big Ten. It's official, he DOES have the most hops in the Big Ten. He been getting up all season.
