B/c I have seen firsthand what children of biracial couples go through. I have a cousin who was the product of a black/white relationship. Mom is white..dad is black..she is black. She is now 9 years old. As she gets older..she gets more and more confused about that. Asks more and more questions about why and stuff like that. She gets heckled, poked fun of, and teased about things constantly b/c she has 'different' parents, etc. If that makes me a racist..so be it. Say what you want..I don't care..b/c I know that I'm far from it.

That has a lot to do with it to many, many people. It is part of my reasons...although...it is just a very small part of my reasons as to why I'm against it.

Really?

I find that odd/unfortunate. Maybe I grew up in a different area, but my elementary and middle schools especially had a decent amount of bi-racial kids. No one seemed to make fun of them (not due to THAT, one of them wet his pants a lot, so he was an easy target anyway).....but, let me ask....in that respect, do you also not agree with adoption?

Adoption of a child of another race? I guess I'm against that too. What reasons would you have if your white or black to want to adopt another child of a different race? I don't understand it. There is plenty of kids available of your own race that need adopted. I mean..I'm not going to hold it against you or anything..but I personally wouldn't do it.

Dude, it's a fucking child that needs a home. As for biracial marriages...it's a fucking human being marrying a human being. I think your statements come across as ignorant and racist. You're trying to mask it, but it's not working. Not being a dick, it's just my opinion based on your comments.

And your right..and there are many other children in that some adoption agency of the same race that needs a fucking home too. My statements are my thoughts..whether you think they are ignorant and racist is up to you. I thought I made it clear that I didn't care? I'm not 'masking' anything. If I was going to try to 'mask' my comments..I obviously wouldn't have commented on it in the first place. My reasons why were asked..and I told my reasons. You can accept them or not..again..I don't give a shit.

I agree to an extent. I don't feel like this comments are "racist" per-say but, like you said, ignorant.

being bi-racial worked out great for me.....not that i didnt get called names but it was mostly names they called black kids, being bi racial never really played a part....but all kids get called names and get confused and have questions...that is natural, you could get teased or harrassed for being overwieght, too smart, too tall, too short i just dont think one example should be the basis for something like that, but it your choice....

this does answer the question to some of those who question why blacks may get extra help because there are lots of people who do lots of hiring who may feel they only want to work with people of their own race, or that bringing in someone different could somehow mess things up...they dont feel racist they just want to do what's best for the "company" or such. im sure that those might not be the best examples but they can always find an excuse and that is their perogative just like yours but i try to promote diversity and feel that the more views and perspectives in business and family only makes things that much better. with that narrow view you could miss out on something very special.

Did you actually type these words? This is the most ignorant thing I have EVER read on the Huddle, and I have read a lot of shit on this site. How do you function in life, this is simply mind-boggling.

I am fully aware that I witnessed a MUCH larger degree of racism during my tenure at Ohio State compared to here in NYC, but wow, this may take the cake.

Actually, it does. Pretty black and white in clarity, no pun intended.

That's like saying me saying I only eat vegetables, but don't call me a vegetarian.

I can give you all the examples in the world..and it's not going to change a thing.

In your opinion..it's a narrow view..in my opinion..there isn't anything wrong with my views/opinions on it. Many will agree with you..many will agree with me. That's how it goes. Plus..I've already got a wonderful wife and son..so I'm not gonna miss out on anything special b/c I don't agree with interracial relationships. :)

I agree. When we were hiring a few years ago, I was in a managers office when she went through a stack of resumes and took out all the foriegn sounding names. She asked if I could imagine working with someone who couldn't speak english. They ended up hiring a dumb ass white guy who couldn't speak english.

lets not be too hard on him he was asked and gave his opinion...likely by his avatar this is how he was taught and he doesnt know any different i know lots of people like this who probably have never spent any signifigant time around people other races and dont have friends of another race..eventually he will meet someone of another race and will have to soften his stance because no way you can say what your saying and have any black or whatever type of friends. probably just goes off of tv or whatever

All I can say is that I pray that by the time my sons are old enough to log onto the internet and chat or go to school and see different colors of skin....that society will as a whole see people as people and not "races." I wont expose my children to it and I pray no one else does.

...and for the record...I like you GoChiefs...you're a dick, you're a racist, and you're blind to your owner prejudice ( :) )....but I like you.

LOL..now who's being ignorant? B/c I like NASCAR I'm 'racist'? This isn't 1975. NASCAR isn't dedicated to the South anymore. Contrary to what many believe..it's no longer just a 'redneck' thing.

B/c I don't believe in interracial relationships that means I don't have any friends of another race? I live in SE Massillon..the 'ghetto' of Massillon. I have black friends/people all around me. I don't go by what's on 'tv' or anything.

Yes, a racist from Massillon, Ohio is telling me to get out more. That is rich.

Be a racist, that is fine, but OWN it. Don't say you are not one. You are in denial, and its sad.

Actually..I'm from Logan :) I chose to move to Massillon..around black people. Why the hell would I do that if I'm racist? If I was a racist..I WOULD HAVE FUCKING SAID I'M A RACIST. Surely people would know by now on here that I'm pretty blunt and to the point. I don't hold anything back. If I hated blacks, mexicans, asians, whatever else..I would say it.

It's not easy to say the stupidest things most of us have ever read on the huddle. After all, you're following in the footsteps of some of the great stupid-minds of our time: ncf, belly, trooperden. But you've managed to surpass them, congratulations, and may god have mercy on your soul.

And yeah, the NASCAR avatar to go along with your posts are, as Sage would say, #toogoodtobetrue
