Yeah, its either Amar'e, Jamison, or nothing.

Even if Cleveland does not make a move I'll be okay with it. But I'd like to get either one of the two I mentioned.

I am starting to lean more towards not making a deal. I would rather have Jamison for cap relief.

If you can get Amar'e for Z/JJ/Filler/1st then you have to do it.

Yeah, I know. But Miami's deal looks better to me...than what the Cavs can offer. That mid first is soooo much better than possibly the 30th pick.

Wes, no one knows if that is what Miami is offering.

The Suns will save so much money with Z that it makes that mid round 1st pick not mean as much when you are receiving a late 1st + cap relief.

Beasley doesn't excite the Suns but JJ does. They wanted him last season and he has only gotten better. Plus he has no drug and behavioral problems.

Go to the NBA page on ESPN. There will be links on the main page to the chats. You need to be signed in though.

Given their cap situation, this is the last time they will be able to appreciably improve the roster as there are no more massive expiring contracts to trade off and they won't have the cap room to sign a decent free agent considering the cap is going to shrink.

If they don't make a move, and don't win a title, they will have no way to improve the roster as they will be capped out with no real assets to trade. That is not an enticing picture if you are Lebron thinking about staying.
Yep. If they bring in Stoudemire and he is under contract with the Cavs Mr Gilbert has already stated that he would be willing to pay the luxury tax. This way you have two all-stars for next year. Cavs wont be able to afford a guy like Amare if they wait to do it this summer via FA

Yeah, I bet he answers two questions on the subject.

He thinks Amar'e will be a Cav FWIW

It comes down to the Suns simply don't like Beasley, but think the world of Hickson. I couldn't disagree with them more, but they run the show. Miami can offer a higher pick and more of them, plus some pretty good expirings. They simply don't have the young talent the Suns are looking for. But hey, Kerr hasn't shown anybody that he knows what the hell he's doing. Why would he start now?

I believe this is completely false. Some troll was spewing this on the cleveland.com forum.

jpake, talent wise its Beasley easy. But the kid has some problems and baggage.

Cleveland could easily sweeten the deal with (Z/Wally) and take Amar'e/JRich if it came down to it. Cleveland could have the better offer but they don't need to sweeten it atm.

Yeah, if the Suns don't take Miami's deal, it is because of Beasley's baggage. He has been a headcase since high school.

That would be a factor. But Sarver is hurting for money and Cleveland could save him the most.

i would rather take Barbosa than JRich, he's younger and suits the Cavs team better than Jrich

Gilbert is willing to flip the bill.

JRich would either A) Work out for Cleveland as a nice option B) Be a big expiring next year.

Beasley has a bit of baggage, mostly a case of immaturity. The Heat have been very proud of him this year after him getting out of rehab (becoming a father has helped him progress). He's done all the right things thus far since then. I do think he gets a bad rap... to a certain extent. He has definitely done some things while in the NBA. But I fail to see what headcase things he did while at KSU. Maybe I missed something.

Miami can throw JO's 23 mil contract and take on JRich too. They can throw 2 1'st at the Suns. A lot of people are having a hard time seeing why the Suns like what the Cavs have to offer over the Heat. It's just a question of what the Heat are really offering. And we may never know, because Pat is quite devious. I just think Kerr is showing his true colors and why he won't be a GM for long. Don't get me wrong, I like JJ Hickson and his potential. I just don't like it nearly enough as Kerr seems to.

Yeah, he said at first 70%.

A guy comes back with the Windy report of no news, he then says that he stands by his prediction and it will probably get done soon.
