You talking about Seantrel Henderson?

He went to Miami and started this year.

Some exciting news for ND on the recruiting front! I'll say it again, this feels like Holtz all over again, let's hope that continues.......GO IRISH!

Notre Dame irrelevancy has definitely gotten to the recruits (sarcasm):

Also, Miles Shuler has set an official visit the last week of January. He and Huggins would propel this class back into the top five.

SO. FUCKING. FAST. He set the NJ State Record in 100M at 10.39 as a junior. Yikes. He is being recruited, to by knowledge, as a slot receiver.

Brandon Saine set the Ohio 100m record with a 10.38, to get our OSU comparison in. :)

Bold = committed to Notre Dame. Brian Kelly is bringing many of the committed recruits in to have them become closer friends. He's bringing in some of the recruits still up in the air to meet them. Brilliant move in my opinion, nice to have a whole room full of Notre Dame guys there when Chickillo and Ray come.

Sun Bowl vs. Miami(FL) is likely now. That's pretty cool.

The Sun Bowl is ND's only remaining option after what happened yesterday and it sounds like it's a done deal with the Sun Bowl Chairman saying ND vs Miami would be the best thing that ever happened for El Paso in the 77 year history of the bowl game.

I really like the matchup. Not so sure ND matches up the best with Miami, but it's a fun game/matchup nonetheless.

So how long have I been telling you ND guys that ND will be a 9 or 10 win team next year and that kelly is a great coach? You believe me yet?

Has Christian French made his mind up?
“The main point of the visit was to just sit down with the head coach and hear some things from him,” explained Cherokee French. “I already felt good about Notre Dame. I just needed to hear some things from the head coach.”

Though the Irish originally recruited French as an outside linebacker, both he and his father really want Christian to play wide receiver. Kelly is amenable to that idea.

“It just depends on how well he picks up the offense,” said Cherokee of his son’s playing wide receiver for the Irish. “But he is expecting him to be at wide receiver at the start of the season.”

I don't think too many ND fans were doubting Kelly necessarily, just taking a wait and see approach based on the last few coaching regimes.

I don't believe I ever doubted.

With the NFL lockout looming though, Stanford's Luck may stay put. That's not a good thing for Notre Dame's 2011 finale.

^^^^

Kelly said in his presser today that Floyd and Rudolph have both asked for information from the NFL committee on their draft status. He also said that he is actively recruiting them for Notre Dame.

I'm not really that worried. NFL lockout = stay in college.

I agree, you never know what the NFL guys will say to them though.

I wouldn't really care if Rudolph leaves. Eifert will be more than capable of being an excellent TE. Then add in out five-star recruit and the good backups, Notre Dame is fine at TE. Michael Floyd though, would be a big loss. He changes the game offensively and is a definite advantage we wouldn't want to lose if we want big things to happen in 2011.

Texas CB Bennett Okotcha (Cam McDaniel's teammate and former Wisconsin commit) has decomitted from Wisconsin and committed to Notre Dame.

Ht:6'0"
Wt:175 lbs
40:4.47 secs

He's big and fast. Let's see how they develop him.

I would be shocked if Rudolph and Floyd leave. IMO, their draft stock isn't where it should be and a strong 2011 campaign could vault those two in to definite first round picks.
