Again, I hope this is a huge rumor and amounts to nothing. It seems every time Kelly starts to get the train moving in the right direction it gets derailed by an off the field issue.

Should? How about will be. I wasn't a fan of how certain media outlets tried to insinuate Brian Kelly is protecting a football player from the allegations. In fact, I was pissed. It's widely known Notre Dame's ethics and whatever intraschool board that handles discipline is freakin' tough. The kid would instantly be expelled if this indeed happened.

Should be......will be, how ever you want to phrase it. If true, he's gone.

If it indeed did happen then whoever the player is will be gone. For anyone to think that Kelly has anything to do with that decision obviously doesn't understand how Notre Dame works.

Another thing to keep in mind: There have been incidents similar to this in the past, 4 players were expelled for sexual misconduct under Willingham and another was expelled in the late 90s I think for being accused of rape. There were no charges in either case. So I would assume something about the story doesn't add up to whoever makes that call, which again is no one associated with the football team.

I'm glad Justice Hayes took his time and really thought things through:

hahah I just wonder how that ND tattoo is going to work out...

People on the interwebz have noticed Michigan's RB depth and wonder if they'll make him a WR.....or a DB. hahah

If Savon Huggins commits he will make everyone forget about Justice Hayes in about two seconds.

Hayes also expressed concern over coaching stability at ND and then chooses Michigan? Rich Rod must be a smooth talker to be able to convince a recruit his job is more stable than Kelly's.

Yeah Kelly is more likely to get an infamous ten-year extension than he is fired.

If you're going to insult the program, at least learn to spell correctly. "then a over hyped?" REALLY?

You still didn't fix then to than, which proves you have no comprehension of the difference. Nice.

For some good recruiting news, Doran Grant, the monster CB from Akron SVSM has said he wants to take an official visit to Notre Dame. Notre Dame had stopped recruiting him, so this is odd. He is the #1 CB in the country though....so I guess that's good? He lists Ohio State and Michigan as his leaders, but if he's taking an official visit to Notre Dame, you have to think they have a chance. He's taking his visits to Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, USC...and one of either Iowa, Michigan, or Penn State.

He has said he has always been an Irish fan and wants to see "what this coaching staff is all about." So it appears he wants to play for a program that isn't irrelevant. hahah A victory over USC would help out GREATLY. As would the promise of early playing time, he could come in and play the nickel from day one and start as a sophomore.

With a 2.8 GPA, he's not the brightest guy in town though.

Also Florida LB/S Denzel Perryman's parents have hired a tutor so he can academically qualify for Notre Dame. His best friend Rabasa is a Notre Dame commitment and has been recruiting him for the program daily. He's recruited for S or OLB, he is 5'11/6'0, ~220 and ran a 4.7 last summer. He's on the three-star/four-star edge, but he has offers from Florida, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, Wisconsin, etc. He's a keeper.

He wouldn't be the first kid trying to get his ACT score up (it was a 17) to get into Notre Dame. This is a GREAT sign. Notre Dame has a great shot here.

Brian Kelly is a winner and a fuckin' amazing coach. Anyone who has not realized this yet is an idiot. The team of undeveloped talent has improved every game this season, lost some games they shouldn't have, and has a respectable 7-5 record. No one, and I mean NO ONE thought Notre Dame would go 3-0 post-Crist but the improvement across the board and the X's and O's was just tremendous.

FUCK YES.

Great post. I had ND left for dead after the Navy game and definitely after the Tulsa loss. Are they back? I wouldn't go that far but this first year, especially when you consider all of the injuries and off the field distractions, has been a successful one for Kelly in his first year. A bowl win? That would be phenomenal.

Yeah, and if ND didn't lose their starting QB, RB, TE, NG, SLOT WR, etc. Don't play that card here. And that drop certainly helped but the INT thrown against Tulsa, the Fake FG by a 1-loss MSU team that didn't start before the play clock expired, etc. Don't feed me that either.

I'm not letting this little cross cunt-ry running bitch spoil my night...neither should the rest of the ND faithful.

ND beat their rival tonight. Period.

The last Bowl projections for ND on ESPN were....

Sun Bowl vs. Miami(FL)
Champs Sports vs. Florida State

I'm sure today's results alter that a bit (in regards to opponents).

I think there might be a clause that if ND wins at least 7 games and doesn't make BCS (yes I know they need 9 to be eligible), they get the bid to the Champs Sports Bowl. Swarbrick said after the game he is no where near to a decision right now. Champs Sports and Las Vegas bowl reps were at the game tonight so I'd assume it would be one of those two games. Might come down to when the games are so Kelly can get the full 15 practices and the schedule doesn't conflict with exams.

Also if it was the Champs Sports bowl it will be Florida State.
