Like I said, I think most of the season rests on Crist's knee, arm, and head...not that that is a big stretch. If the offense can gel and get on the same page in Kelly's system, they have plenty of talented weapons to be a pretty prolific offense. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point because there are a lot of positives coming out of South Bend but until it translates to the field it doesn't mean much.

But I too am cautiously optimistic, as always. Kelly has done well everywhere else, and had rather immediate success with a modicum of talent. Soooo, I guess we shall see.
The offense doesn't worry me at all. Kelly will have them clicking, I'm confident of that. The defense is my main concern, they couldn't stop anyone last year and if they could have made a couple stops, ND wins more than six games.
If you look around the country, the one thing that all the elite programs have is a great defense, that's what ND needs.
