What would the content, styles, rules and discussion topics be on your ideal message board?

It seems everyone has a difference of opinion on what that is...so help Justin out...seriously, let him know how you think you could improve things around here.

A combination of lulz and information, quirky information or timely information. I get a lot of random info from this site that I enjoy consuming.

it has to be a place where a teacher can feel comfortable hooking up with a student. i'd also like the occasional racist rant and subsequent forum beatdown laced with slanderous epithets. i prefer it to have some boisterous gays to sprinkle gay threads randomly on the boards and then an overwhelming number of closet gays to call them gay and make threads about the gayness of the gays. i'd like people to randomly assault the board with posts like "LICK MY ASS YOU CUNT SUCK".

All in all, I think this place is swell. I think I'll stay.

Yeah, it talks about it. There is also another thread about the "serious/non-serious" posts.

I thought we wanted everything summed up in one thread?

Plus....this thread is asking what you look for in a message board. It's not questioning this site's content.

To me, it seems clear that the purpose of this thread is completely different from the purpose of that thread.

And a tomato's a fruit...but it's not going in my fruit salad. You're irrelevant and no one values anything you post. Keep the shots coming though, bring up my "breakdown"...it was 1 year ago tonight...you HAVE to live up to Sage, again...he's running away with your title.

Fine you make a decent point there regarding the jump shark thread and this. I just look to kill time through the message board. I know there will be crap posted, etc....I was just saying I hate seeing multiple threads about the same thing over and over or as soon as someone posts something about whatever a poster runs off and posts their own thread about said subject. My point of being here is to kill time and laugh a bit!

...and I agree with you fab. As I said before, I have to be mature and professional all day/everyday. This is my escape from that. It kills time, and makes me laugh. Some people take it too seriously.

A forum without stupid pissing contests all the time and internet tough guys. I've never seen but maybe 10 threads with serious discussions. I'm all for joking around but not its just hate wars.

I like talking about women, sports, beer, whiskey, and friends. I dont get on here much but This is pretty close to what I like. Although you wont be able to satisfy everyone the best attitude is if you dont like it then leave.

Information, intelligent discussions on a wide variety of topics (sports, movies, music, etc), humor- but not the "trying way too hard" type of humor that seems to be prevalent on here...

I'll wait for now. it's on the short list of possibilities, but the wife and I wanna sit down and talk about all of our options because we'd like to incorporate the baby and at least 1 set of grandparents (then do a similar trip next year with the other set).
