I just downloaded Chrome and was messing around with it. I found Incognito Mode. I clicked it, and this message came up in the new window...
You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.

Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys
Surveillance by secret agents
People standing behind you
Probably should just rename Incognito Mode to Watch Porn and Not Get Caught Mode.

I personally like that I should be wary of surveillance by secret agents and people standing behind me.

The newer windows has the same feature - open up a new tab and there's an option for "InPrivate" window.

I'm sure they or used for porn or cheating in chatrooms etc. Not sure why else you would need it inless you just don't want to keep erasing history or leave cookies.

I don't trust google any further than I can spit.

Saw a story, very recently, where a guy was convicted on murder, do in no small part to his searches on google. He had no hard drive or any searchable history the authorities could garner. Google did. Every damn search made by every person that has. Just a little part of big brothers history book.

I've been saying for a while that I think Google is trying to take over the world.

If you use Google search they can know every internet search you do.
If you use mail they can know every email you send and receive.
If you use Chrome they can know every webpage you visit.
If you have a Google phone they can know every call you make and every text.

If you aren't careful, Google can know basically everything about you. Google can legally know more about you than the government can.

And they don't have a problem with throwing you under a bus anytime someone comes asking for your info. (RIAA,MPAA, federal agencies, etc)
