I cannot believe the poll is as close as it is...Weis has clearly shown that he cannot handle one of the premier college football programs; and, in fact, in his tenure, Notre Dame has already fallen in prestige. Those of us who are college football fans "love-to-hate" ND...but in order to have a rivalry, you have to operate from a position of strength. ND is starting to be pitied rather than loathed. Weis has shown himself to be not only inferior to his predecessors (Willingham, Davy) but realistically, he is not a strong representative for the program personally. His arrogance in play-calling is mirrored by that if his "mentor" Belichek who went down in flames against Indy last Sunday. Stoops, Harbaugh, Kelly would all be clear improvements. I would not take Meyer if you paid me. (Not that you would pay me...)

Also no salvating here as I don't think he'll ever be the coach at Notre Dame.
