Couple "generic" questions...
1) I downloaded UberTwitter from App World - thus it's under My World - and I didn't really care for it so I uninstalled it. My "problem" is it still shows up under My World with all the other apps I have installed, except it reads "uninstalled" (which it should be). How do I delete this, however, as I am someone of an obsessive compulsive person and I do not like seeing it show up in My World even though it is uninstalled.
You can't. They do this b/c if you installed it once you might want to install it later. It's suppose to make it "easier" for you.
2) How can I connect my BlackBerry to my laptop? I would like to be able to do this so I can manage my calendar appointments and contacts from my laptop with a mouse and bigger screen. I have the USB cord, but when I connected it, while the drive showed up under my computer, when I clicked on the folder it was empty.
you need to install Desktop Manager. Go to the blackberry website and it should help you out.
I assume you want to connect your calendar and contacts via outlook? If that's the case then google blackberry outlook or if you want to use the gmail functions, there's a ton of apps.
One thing I would be careful of is that if you already have contacts on your phone and on gmail, it can ugly, you may want to delete contacts on either phone or gmail and then transfer them all either way.
3) Under Applications on my BlackBerry, there is Word/Sheet/Slideshow To Go. I can click on each of these and then I am prompted with "Open a file..." I click on this and then I am prompted with "Media Card" and "Device Memory". If I click on "Media Card" I then have "BlackBerry" and "music" to choose from. Under "BlackBerry" there is a documents folder. If I open this folder, there is nothing in there. a) How do I get a clean document and b) how do I move documents from my laptop to this location?
Well, this I'm not exactly sure of but:
when you get sent a word doc, excel doc, or power point you can open it with the To Go programs.
I think there is a way to use Desktop Manager to put files on, but I'm not 100% sure.
One thing to know though, is in your media folder or just one of the icons you should have a "files" option like "music" or "pictures" if you click that you can explore all your files like you would on windows.
If you need more help, let me know and I'll do examples and post them.
