I have a Storm and have never used it. I do have a few friends who now have Blackberry's so it's something I may begin using though.

BBM is great. Most of the people I text have BB's so I have a smaller text plan because I can BBM them for free.

BBM might possibly be the greatest part about having a BlackBerry. It's free... it's fast... it works somehow even when you don't have reception... you can send voicenotes (pretty neat function)... it's easy and quick to send pictures... it doesn't cost against your text messaging plans... its simply the best. I love it. I wish all my friends had a BlackBerry so I could BBM rather than text.

Also... what apps are people using?

My favorite app is Poynt. This app is truly amazing. The functionality of it is PERFECT. Love it. My best app by far.

OpenBeak (for Twitter) is nice, but I can't seem to post anything unless I am in a Wi-Fi spot. Frustrating.

ScoreMobile is great for getting score updates and game lines. Has virtually every sport you would ever care abaout (save MMA).

WeatherEye for weather updates. Not the greatest, but not too shabby either.

ESPN's "app" is basically just a link to their mobile web page. Nothing fancy about it, but probably a must have if you are a sports fan.

I also have Pandora but have never even fired it up, let alone use it.

And last, but certainly not least, Facebook. This app could be SOOOOO much better. It's truly frustrating how slow it can be sometimes. It basically gets the job done, but definitely needs a lot of work.

Does anyone know any app for YouTube? Whenever I play YouTube videos from my mobile browser I get HORRIBLE quality - the videos are choppy and blurry.

Poynt is basically like the yellowpages or whitepages. It lets you search for businesses (i.e. restaurants, stores like Best Buy, whatever) and gives you the closest hits, addresses, phone numbers (and then you can use the BlackBerry button and dial the number without having to type the number of the store into the phone, etc.), the new version has best gas prices near you, etc. It's just amazing. Definitely the best App I have bar none.

Does anyone know where you can go online (on your computer, not mobile browser) to search for BB apps and easily send them to your phone?

I use BBM. 24 contacts currently. I am in two groups. I love the whole thing. It's very effective. My best friends all have it so we have our group instead of dicking around with conferencing.

As for apps:
Where > Poynt

I have:
Facebook
Drivesafe.ly
Opera Mini 5 beta 2
Pandora
Patternlock
Quicklaunch
Quickpull
RoundPong
SexyDice
TFLNberry
Viigo
Youmail

I tried to make a Freehuddle group(max 30), but I couldn't get the barcode uploaded. I could probably do it on facebook if there is still interest.

It'd be a clusterfuck.

If you have updated your BBM to 5.0(you should), then there is a blackberry groups option. Groups let you you chat with groups, different topics chat lines(similar to a forum) and also have calendar events and lists, etc. The barcode feature is cool because each group and each phone has it's own barcode and you just choose scan barcode and face your camera at where the barcode is and it'll scan.
