My gf slid through a redlight camera intersection on a yellow this morning. she said she was in the intersection before the light turned red and she didn't see any camera flashes (it was still dark out). Do these violations carry points? I am sure there is someone on here who has received one.

That's what I was thinking.

I remember our taxi driver shot through one about a year ago. Shit was like a lightning storm with all the flashes going off.

She has to pony up her own damn $85

It's one of those where the ticket goes to the registered address then you have to figure it out.

in LA, no, it's a $50 fine and no points. If you have an Iphone the trapster app alerts you to these, also mobile (and fixed) speed cameras.

I thought the tickets those things issue are civil fines, and therefore carry no points since it's not a criminal charge.

"I tell the other people that drive my car, 'Hey, this is what's going on, and if you're going to drive up I-17 or you know, the ones (photo radar cameras) where I know where they're at,' I said, 'If you see that sign (laughs), do what you want to do.'"
this is the mistake he made. even if he really isnt doing it, thats like saying "hey, there is a gun and here is the address of my ex-wife, do what you want."

I heard there was something you could put on your plates to cloud the numbers on your plates. Don't know if this is legit or not. I live out in the country so I never looked into it.

hairspray used to work to blur plates in the old days, but the cops have better cameras now.
