How much longer is the Big 10/NCAA going to allow Dantonio to run his criminal finishing school without punishment! What's going on in East Lansing is rediculious! I lost all respect for Dantonio when he allowed Winston back on the team the minute he walked out of prison but seriously this is fucking rediculious.

The bigger question is how the hell is the Detroit press so kind to Dantonio when his players are roaming around campus beating the shit out of innocent people. Rich Rod however stub's his toe and it's front page news about how incompotent he is.

Because no one cares about MSU football compared to UM football imo. One has great tradition getting ruined by a sub par coach while a program that doesn't have a great tradition is continuing their sub par play.

Rich Rod is not running a felon finishing school like Dantonio is he's just struggling on the field. Dantonio get's a free pass for his player's recreating compton in East Lansing but Rich improves the football teams academics and keeps his players in line for the most part.

Just unbelieveable that this stuff is being tolerated.

This is sad to hear. I had the opportunity to play with BJ Cunningham in high school and have known him since elementary school days. He was one of the kids that got suspended back in November. I can't remember for the life of me ever seeing him get upset about anything since I have known him. From what I have heard, there are a lot of bad apples on that MSU squad and he just got caught up with the wrong guys, and in turn, ended up joining in the fight to protect his "boys".

I agree BUT

Its college football and winning on the field is what matters most.

MSU is not a news worthy program like UM is.

Shame. An embarrassment to MSU and the Big Ten, I hope they right the ship, and if they can't, they need to join the SEC. They'll fit right in there.

I didn't know MSU was on the verge of fielding a national title contender.

The coaches offices up in East Lansing have been crazy the past few months. Dantonio has been trying to get his Mao on since the incident and has met with quite a bit of indifference from his staff. That dynamic hasn't been lost on the players which further complicates things.

I recall it was just 3-4 months months ago people on JJHUDDLE tried to convince me Dantonio did more for UC than Brian Kelly and how he Dantonio was the greatest coach ever.

Of course, the folks (many who are on here) were trying to convince me I had no clue and I was just some bandwagon fan of a school with no academics (or whatever typical remark you want to put in there) and UC would soon fall back to being mediocre.

Dantonio needs to get his ship in order.

That said, you can count the programs on one hand that haven't gone through a cycle where they've had these kinds of issues.

When you're a major program that recruits kids coming from all segments of society, you are going to get some bad apples; probably more than a few.

Sad situation up there that Dantonio has had to deal with... he better right the ship(and win a few more games) or his days in East Lansing could be numbered

Dantonio had some shady players at UC.... Brian Kelly cleaned house. He wanted guys with character and it paid off.

Never thought I'd see the day that the guy who gave the NFL both Chris Henry and Pacman Jones would be regarded as a lesser evil.

Shouldn't ND fans be more worried about overhyping their upcoming season, only to lose to all ranked teams, scrap together some wins against cupcakes, and refuse a low tier bowl game so they don't get blown out?

No?

LOL
