Anyone know if next season's OSU-Miami game at the 'Shoe is a night game?

I'd say almost guaranteed to be a night game, but have no idea for certain.

Yeah I'd almost bet that it would be a night game. Somebody should be fired if it isn't

It will be a 3:30 game thanks to that Nascar race on ABC. ESPN will have Alabama vs Penn St. at 8pm and they will not put us on ESPN2 at the same time.

Its truly sad when NeckCar gets priority over NCAA football....give me a sun belt game over 120k mouth breathers watching 1000 left turns.

No way the OSU police want all The U player on campus after dark. They want those gangsta / thugs on a bus headed to the airport before the street lights come on.

Contracts buddy.

And don't kid yourself, a college football game can put 100k mouth breathers in one location just as easily :P

It's very unlikely that this will be a night game. I think that's part of the reason they have chosen to start the season on a Thursday night.

My guess would be a 3:30. Tressel will probably push for a noon game. I'm sure most of Miami's players are used to the Miami night life and rarely see the world before noon. :D

^^^This.

Plus Ohio State would be very unlikely to have two consecutive night games, I'd think, even though one is an offbeat Thursday game.

In fact, I'd say part of the reasoning into having the Marshall game at night was the added exposure they likely wouldn't get from the Miami game.

Yeah- that happened last year with OSU-USC. That game ended up being the most watched college game on ESPN ever.

"... into having the Marshall game at night was the added exposure they likely wouldn't get from the Miami game". Don't think so. This game will have major exposure for either program that wins this game. Looking forward to a MIAMI win in the shoe. A little payback from 02. Just my thought. The actual exposure won't be greater if it's a regional game, as opposed to a national broadcast -- and certainly not a broadcast in prime time.

Oh and knowing how well Miami fans travel, I'd guess they'll be about 1,000 of them in the Shoe for that game.

You really think 1,000 of them can get "work-release" on that day?

A lot of smack form Ohio State fans who's football program has consistently placed felon after felon into the Ohio pen system. Let alone their awful graduation rate.

Big Games on 9/11 include

Miami @ OSU

Florida State @ Oklahoma

Georgia @ South Carolina

Oregon @ Tenn

And Penn State @ Alabama will be a CBS game since it's played at a SEC school.

It's going to be a good day for college football that's for sure.
