If you are talking about him as a coach you are correct. But as a human being, he is an absolute joke.

They would probally be a around a .500 team.
Florida would win their share of home games but playing on the road in cold weather they wouldn't survive. They would need heaters if the temp dropped below 50 degree's.

^^^ Normally I'd think this isn't true, but if you watched the Champs Sports Bowl, the Miami players gathered around heaters on the sidelines, even though the game was in Tampa, while the Wisconsin players enjoyed the "heat wave". I think every southern team would have issues playing in a Big 10 game in November.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of his antics (running the score up and calling time outs to do so, refusal to give his guys "real" punishments, taking all the attention away from his team in the week leading up to the UC game, etc). With that being said I'd take him in a heart beat
I believe we call that "hypocrisy".

At least you admitted it.

You might want to clarify that statement...
What, at the moment he is the biggest drama queen.

He went from retiring due to healthy issues and wanting to be with his family.

To returning the next day only to take a "leave of absence" in which he didn't even have a meeting with his family before making the decision. So much for worrying about his family.

Now he isn't even going to miss a day that has any meaning to their program.

Urban Meyer would be the best coach the Big 10 has seen in many years.

He would blow every coach there now out of the way including Jimmy.

Not saying it isn't true

But then again we never would have guessed Tiger was out banging chicks every night and end up in sex rehab.

First of all, you can't know his coaching. He is obviously a great coach.

The the whole fiasco that went on with Meyer and Fla was an absolute JOKE and nothing but to bring attention to himself, and Florida IMO.
As I mentioned previously, this whole thing could have waited until AFTER THE BOWL game. But NO, we have to do it during bowl week. Why? Easy...after getting their ass handed to them by Bama, and playing in the Sugar, easily the weakest bowl of the BCS....Meyer and FLa wanted the spot light back on them. Thus, the whole health, resign, I am back, take time off....NOW, not taking time off crap. Seriously.....its drama BS. Something u would never get from most of the classy coaches. The timing was bullshit. And now its looks even worse IMO.

Every single coach, Tressel included has done something which could be considered low class.

Jimmy isnt exactly a saint himself. Every coach has flaws.

I didn't realize so many people know the guy personally. This is a good summary that kind of puts message board retards (yes, I'm right here with you) and their character judgments into perspective:

"This is the difference between you and Urban Meyer: If given the opportunity, you would walk away from your job, flip off your boss and set fire to the building; odds are you probably take a few "leaves of absence" on company time every day. Urban Meyer, still drawing a $4 million salary and being pushed by everyone around him -- including his boss, athletic director Jeremy Foley -- to take a sabbatical, can't even go so much as a weekend without throwing himself back into the grind. This is why he makes $4 million and has two national championships to his name."

Comparing JT to low class coaches is a joke. Not saying Meyer is one, but JT is probably as far from that as possible.

He (or his doctors) apparently overreacted to his health situation... whoop de fucking do.

If that makes him classless or a drama queen, all the power to you.

I don't remember being asked that. Actually, scratch that. I don't remember anyone who matters asking that.

Yeah, the only real crime in this state isn't rape or murder, it's being an Ohio native who hates Ohio State.
insuranceguy wrote: How about he is a joke as a person not as a coach!!!
I'm sure Meyer doesn't mind the criticism, what with two national championship rings plugging his ears. Hey, Earle Bruce is a pretty classy guy...what'd that get him besides a trip to the unemployment line?

And no one oozed "class" quite like Woody Hayes. Punching opponents, punching his own players, promising Bo Schembechler a job and then driving him to the unemployment office....what a charming man.

Funny thing for me in this topic is that, as the board's resident Tennessee fan, I have the most reason to spend time hammering on Meyer, Tebow, and the rest of them.

The fact that I don't and the fans of a team who saw a grand total of 20-some plays out of Tebow during his entire career do REALLY says something.
