Those kinds of statements will get you into a circular argument with those who lean towards children's rights vs. those of us who believe in adult/parental authority. We take offense at lippy kids, but if you hold them responsible or reprove them, you are violating the child in some way and doing something you have no right to do. I don't think any child should ever be abused, but I think every child should be disciplined. Kids have to be held to some standard of acceptable behavior. It's as simple as this: someone has to be in charge. I'd suggest adults and parents are the better choice than the kids. I had a lippy kid in my house... once. Now that he's 22, he's glad I didn't tolerate that. I always was glad about it.
