Let me answer a few questions.

You can use a Storm on a GSM network because Storm and Tour are International phones. They have both CDMA and GSM radio's. You need to get the International unlock code from Verizon tho to do it.

The Storm comes with a SIM card already in it...it just doesn't get used until you tell Verizon you are going out of country and switch to international plan for the trip.

To the poster who was able to Call and use Data on the Verizon phone.....The only reason you could do that is because the Storm 2 has Wifi and your Wifi was enabled and connected. Hence you were drawing data from the wifi connection and using the Verizon network to talk. The Storm 1 and older Verizon Berries dont have wifi and CANNOT surf the web while talking on the phone. If you already have a page rendered you can look at that page only.

BTW...I have a Storm 1....switched to a Droid Eris for 4 days then took it back. The lack of pushed email needs to be upgraded with the other smartphones for me to leave BlackBerry.

I was able to get the storm unlocked, and have my ATT sim card in, and everything seems to be working so far.. what are some must have BB Apps? some that I have are def NOTHING like the IPHONE/IPOD touch APPS.. : (
The Storm 1 screen is basically on a center pedistal where every press is centered from the middle of the screen.

The Storm 2 has 4 connections. Pretty much one in each corner. The press is easier on it cause the screen doesn't depress as far as on the storm 1...so the typing should be easier and quicker from lack of travel by the screen itself.

The Droid Eris is a great phone and there are TONS of apps for it. My only issue was the lack of pushed email for any other type except GMail. If you don't do much business by email...then get the Eris. I loved the native sms but downloaded Handcent SMS and it is totally customizable. Really neat. But I need the pushed email cause I use Yahoo.

Corporate email is pushed on any Android phone 2.0 or higher. That's a BIG drawback to phones running 1.5 and 1.6.

I need a blackberry to get work email, and they will cover the price some. I have Verizon. What is the best blackberry for Verizon? Storm 2 sounds interesting with wifi.

The storm 2 is pretty sweet. If you don't want touch screen then wait a month or 2 for the tour 2 if possible. It will have the optical trackpad which I think is much easier to use than the track ball.

I love my droid but I hope the push email gets updates soon. About half the time I will have to manually refresh my accounts to get the email to come through. Gets old quick.

Sorry for the ignorance but what is an optical trackpad? And Will it have wifi? The touchscreen sort of turns me off for the Storm. I have a Q now and think it is much easier to type on, like the tour would be.

The optical trackpad is like what you see on a laptop.

I like my Blackberry, but the apps suck. They are also ridiculously expensive compared to Apple apps. I'm hoping by the time its time for me to get a new phone Apple breaks with AT&T.

After owning a Centro I'll never buy another Palm again in my life. Worst phone I've ever had.

I stand corrected. It served me a cached page, and it only does it for Facebook app. I cannot browse the web while on the phone. Though I have yet to need to do so. ;)

No you can't. The only thing on the web that you can look at while on the phone is the current page you already had open. You can't go to another page. You can look at any BlackBerry forum and check it out.

It is a limitation to Verizon's CDMA network. Only phones on Verizon that can do it are the ones with ifi enabled.

So I just looked up the tour 2, supposedly comes with wifi also. For those that have them, Storm or Tour? Is there anything different other than the touch screen?

Well the obvious difference is the physical keyboard on the Tour...which I find too small. The virtual keyboard on the Storm is great in both landscape and portrait view.

The size of the Storm screen is impressive when watching videos and surfing the web.
