Yeah, that's the only thing I noticed.

James' poll isn't 'crappy' at all. It isn't how I would have it though. You could argue that Boise should be higher, but they also only played two meaningful games all year, and I don't know if they could beat Ohio State, Penn State, or Iowa. The rest of it looks ok I guess.

I think Cincy should be in the Top 10....They were undefeated and play a Tim Tebow playing his last game...but if Oregon would have beat the number 8 Buckeyes, they would have fell back to about 11 or 12......Ohio State beat Oregon by 2 scores I think Oregon should be 11...

What I don't understand is that people actually put Texas as low as 5.

And only 44/60 voters had USC ranked. I thought they always are playing the best football in the country at the end of the year?!? :)

I am a huge Buckeye fan and wholeheartedly root for the Big 10, however it is shocking to me that James would rank undefeated Boise State #7. OSU's signature win was an impressive win over Pac 10 champ Oregon, which Boise State equaled ... and followed up with a convincing win over #4 TCU, plus they ran the table. The fact that they finished behind OSU is wrong, but to finish behind Penn State and Iowa? Come on now. Penn State had one quality win all year (LSU).

The only beef I have with James' poll is he ranked TCU too low and Arizona too high.

I found Herbstreit's ranking to be much worse. Kirk's refusal to point UC in his top 10 is another example of his boorish behavior concerning UC all season. How can you put a one loss team from an AQ conference out of the top 10? Oregon at #7 is also a joke. They had three losses for goodness sake!

I don't have too much beef with it. Sure there is a lot of Big Ten "love" there; but didn't the Big Ten kinda rep' well?

Boise St. should be ranked no lower than third IMO, the rest of it is fine.
