Not an official list without Five Guys ... While not the best ever, definitely the best fast food burgers that I have tasted.

I vote Dairy Queen and the one closest to me has a drive thru. :)

Had to go with Wendy's on the above limited list though.

A hamburger is a hamburger in most cases. I didn't vote for quality of the food but rather the fun I was having. I have many memories of White Castle "evenings" in Columbus and other "convention cities" when we would find the closest White Castle and try to navigate there, usually walking and buy multiple bags of those bad boys and take them back to our hotel and with the bath tub and sink filled with ice and cheap beer, we would have our nightcap. Sounds rather silly now thinking back, but at the time it just seemed right. We of course prepared our stomachs for the onslaught by bar hopping for several hours prior and drinking good beer and other libations to sort of coat our stomachs against the assault that would occur. I'm still amazed that some of our old group is still alive.

I had Fatburger on South Beach last year, didn't impress me at all. I actually thought the quality was pretty crappy.

You could have grouped Carl's Jr. and Hardees...they are the same company and serve the same food with alternate names. You are insulting In-n-Out by putting the vastly inferior Carl's Jr. with them, though I see your reasoning on them not being locally available. I would pick In-n-Out, but they are three miles from my house here. Of the locally available chains, I would pick Rally's.
