Kelly inherits a lot of returning starters on offense and has a very good QB to work with, the offense should be explosive even with out Clausen and Tate. They return a lot of starters on defense too. I'll say 8 to 9 wins, the schedule should also help, they only have 3 "true" away games. I'll be dissapointed with another .500 season with the players Weis left Kelly.

I think they win 6, but I could also see them only winning 4 or up to 8.

Hear it every year. They have a QB tha thas never played at this level and has a bad knee, they actually lost about 75% of their offense in 3 players. I would love for you to tell me the 9 teams they are going to beat?
And we hear your mouth every fucking day! I don't need to explain a damn thing to a bigot like you!

Quoted for posterity.

I say over just because. They have to turn it around sooner or later. I know nothing about the replacements for the playmakers that they are losing. I just hope they start winning again. I hate ND, but it is not as much fun to hate them when they are bad.

I'll take the over. 7 or 8 seems possible if they can somehow figure out how to tackle during spring drills.

You are not beating all 3 games against the Big Ten to start the season. Want to bet posting rights for the entire football season on it?

The season will hinge on quarterback health. It's the difference between 9-3 and 3-9.

Why cause they're from the Big 10? ND gets two of those three at home and they have been good at MSU.

Thanks for the insight Nostradamus but I'm not going to bet on my picks. I'm optimistic but the season could go many different directions. AGAIN, I feel with the talent ND has returning, the schedule and the fact they only play 3 "true" away games, they SHOULD win 8 to 9 games.

Because I hear too many ND fnas that say they can finish top 3 in the Big Ten every year which is laughable. I am not saying you are like the fans I know, but I was interested to see how confident you really were.

I think ND loses to Michigan.

Over. Kelly's offense works against any team that doesn't have excellent defensive talent, so they will light up the scoreboard until they play USC. They might score 100 on Michigan. They will outscore Purdue, Boston College, Western Michigan, Navy, Tulsa, and Army. Michigan State and Utah will be toss ups. Pittsburgh should beat them. Stanford will put 50 on them, and they have no chance against USC. 7 or 8 wins.
